From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is my first post on Wikipedia...hope it's ok ?

It's a good start but there's no reliable references to cite the statements in your article. You really need to add some sources otherwise it's likely to just get deleted for lack of notability or lack of sources. Chevymontecarlo 17:41, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Can you please tell me if this is ok? I tried to be as unbiased as i could. Can you also let me know where i need referencing (if any)

Thanks for the help!

To me it just sounds like an advertisement, sorry. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be just informative and not sound like advertisements. I recommend you perhaps make some improvements and add reliable references. Chevymontecarlo 17:43, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cutting Room Studios[edit]

This page still says it's "This page is a new unreviewed article." Can someone take a look at it please and let me know if there needs to be things fixed before it can be approved? Thank you!

I really don't think the article is suitable for Wikipedia. It has no reliable sources, it has POV and tone problems, and I think it isn't really notable enough. Sorry. Chevymontecarlo 17:44, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I moved it sucessfully. User error on my part. Would appreciate a review of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_McCoy_and_The_Papercuts. Thanks!

I tried to move http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Seandpowers/Tim_McCoy_and_The_Papercuts to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_McCoy_and_The_Papercuts and it said it was blacklisted.

It seems like this is an issue for the help desk rather than this page. It's really for getting feedback on new articles. I could be wrong, but that's just my feeling. Best of luck. Hope your issue gets resolved. Chevymontecarlo 17:46, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I moved it without a problem, though I have not evaluated the article for content. I'm not sure what error you may have been getting, or why, but it is in article space now: Tim McCoy and The Papercuts WikiDao 12:56, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have now moved it back[1] to your userspace in case you would like to work on it some more before moving it to articlespace, and also for you to see if you get an error again when you try to move it. Let me know if you have any trouble with that. WikiDao 16:25, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HPlease help with cleaning up and tagging this entry. Much appreciated.

It's best to use inline citations to display your references correctly. However according to WP:CITE IMDB isn't really considered a reliable reference, so please remove that reference. However, you could move the link to the external links section if you want. I think the article could also benefit from the addition of links, sections, and perhaps an infobox. I'll try and make some improvements myself just to give you a head start. Hope this is useful! Chevymontecarlo 17:49, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is my first article and I am having troube posting it. Is there a problem with the article?

173.253.145.32 (talk) 17:51, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest I don't think the article is ready for moving to the 'mainspace', as it's known. There are a few problems:
  • I don't think the article's subject is notable enough for Wikipedia, this is mostly down to lack of reliable references.
  • The article could really benefit from the addition of links to other, related Wikipedia articles, and sections added to make it easier to read and navigate. But I think the main issue is with the sources. It's best to use inline citations to display these; feel free to contact me if you have any questions about that. I would like to contribute an article about the sociological concept of place-work.

Hey guys I'm new to this what else should I write about this album?

Zeshraghi (talk) 04:20, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You need to establish that the album is "notable" within the Wikipedia meaning of the term. See, WP:NALBUMS, determine in what ways the subject album is notable, describe that in your article, and gather references from reliable sources to support your claims. If it looks like writing about the album is feasible then look at Pain in My Heart for an example of an album page. You should complete the track listing table.
