I just created this webpage about Jean Pedersen an American Mathematician. Yes, she is my mother, but I have tried my best to be impartial, and find appropriate sources and models of previous submissions. Thank you in advance for your feedback. Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for contributing your article. However, I noticed that there is a serious issue with your article. It lacks reliable sources (like newspapers, books, and magazines, not blogs or social networks) and may be deleted, as articles without references do not meet our criteria for inclusion. To fix this, simply add reliable sources using inline citations (see this guide for information). Click here to learn about what a reliable source is.
Once again, thank you for contributing to Wikipedia.

For anyone else who wishes to look at this article, the link is User:JenniferJeanPedersenHooper/Jean Pedersen. I can see the problem the previous reviewer had with your article. The reference to MathSci net doesn't really link to anything anyone can click on and examine, and the biographical link is essentially a statement the article's subject probably wrote herself. However, with two (mustard yellow?) springer-verlag books and one from cambridge, I have to believe you can make an argument for notability. I think you should review Wikipedia:Notability (academics), determine in what respects the subject of your article fits, and reconstruct the article to focus on her notability, achievements, and interests. Also, since you have ready access to the subject, perhaps provide a list of her more significant papers, rather than simply alluding to the number of papers. Your article seems worth pursuing. I should probably add that writing Biographies of Living Persons is already an invitation to close scrutiny, and where you are not completely independent of the subject, it's just walking on quicksand, or an uphill minefield while waving a fluorescent red flag. Try to make your article rock solid. Tkotc (talk) 10:06, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an article about a Filipino boxer. References are all online versions of published news articles locally.

This is my first Wikipedia article. I would like some feedback about my effort. I created most of the article with material I found online. I have tried to maintain a neutral POV. I know the subject and he provided some information that filled in the gaps. He understands the NPOV policy and tried to present the extra information in a factual manner.

While it's great that you were able to interview the subject, Wikipedia can only include facts that can be verified in reliable sources. If you are able to publish an interview with the subject, we can likely include it, though. Mono (talk) 19:43, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My first article, someone should make it better...

It lacks references to reliable sources (like newspapers, books, and magazines, not blogs or social networks) and may be deleted, as articles without references do not meet our criteria for inclusion. request for article review User:Josephbeesley/Charles Ejogo[edit]

please can someone review my first Wikipedia article. I have submitted it twice for feedback and have just finished making the second set of revisions in accordance with the editors comments. I am hoping that it is now ready to go live. I would appreciate it if someone could have a look at it and make it live or let me know if anything else needs to change. many thanks.

I'm new to Wikipedia, and I'm trying to create a page for Ragtime writer, composer, and performer Clarence E. Brandon, Sr. Any help would be appreciated in format, information, or general Wiki assistance. Thank you.

I am new to wikipedia and this is my first article. All info is found from a very reliable motorsport publication printed at the time covered by this article (1993). I have taken a lot of effort in trying to source more detailed info online but nothing at present exists. If my article proves popular then i will endeavour to add similar articles of Worldwide touring car series in the near future.
