Thomist[edit]

Explanation of the request for CheckUser.

The Jay Robert Nash article keeps having POV statements inserted by User:Thomist and what is most likely Thomist's sockpuppet, User:Root50. This is not the first time User:Thomist has been faulted for inserting unsourced POV (see the discussion at Talk:Brett Kavanaugh for more). Now a third editor with a new account, User:Luna Santin, has becomed involved in the article. While there is a good chance User:Luna Santin is legit, it would be good to know that he/she isn't another sockpuppet and have proof that Thomist and Root50 are sockpuppets. Part of my concern over all of this is b/c the subject of this article, Jay Robert Nash, has threatened to sue Wikipedia and has a history of suing other publications that write about him. As a result, this article is a bad one to be involved in POV pushing using sockpuppets. It is this threat of legal action which, IMHO, raises this situation to where a checkuser is warranted. Many thanks.--Alabamaboy 17:22, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Red X Unrelated. There isn't any evidence that any of these editors are tied to each other or anyone else. Essjay (TalkConnect) 03:47, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
