Nomination[edit]
AtheWeatherman (talk · contribs) – Hi fellow editors. I would like to nominate myself for adminship. I have been here since may last year, and have benn pretty active since then. You will notice in the edit count that I was not active from february untill July, and I can tell that was in preparation for exams, I can assure you. Since registering, I have delved into most part of the Wiki, including AFD, Page protection, AIV and a liitle CSD too.Regarding article contributions I have had a DYK, for the 1995 Mayfest Storm and I am currently hoping to get another one on Drought in the UK at my sandbox. I believe that I have the sufficent skills to be a successful admin here. Thanks for your consideration and input. AtheWeatherman 11:15, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions for the candidate[edit]
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I would probably start out at WP:AIV as this is the place I have most experience in. From there I would probably move on to AfD nominations, only cautiosly at first and see how that goes. Finally I would also like to get involved at CSD eventually, again only going cautiously at first.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: As mentioned in the nomination statement, I do like the DYK I did, but I also am proud of my contribution to the Dewbow article as I started this from stracth and uploaded the image etc. I also like my contibution to Greenhead College, as I have worked extensively on that page over my time.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Well, yes and no. Obviously I have had the run ins with IP's but I simply remove their silly comments and move on. I was in the middle of an edit conflict between two editors, about the food that sikhs eat, as I was editing the article at that time. I acted really as a middle man, and eventually managed to get a compromise from both. In this I did not get particulary stressed or angry. If such a case happens again, I shall simply take a wikibreak, as I usaully do in stressful situations.

Support[edit]
- Moral Support This isn't going to pass. Simply because your editing habits are, well, like mine. Until It Sleeps Wake me 13:27, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose[edit]
- Regretfully. I generally have respect for you, Andy, though I would prefer if you had more experience first. First of all, your edit count (at just under 3,500) may be regarded as a bit thin; while there's no overall problem with that, you made just 226 edits since February (only 6.5% of your total editcount), so your activity could use a boost. In other areas, your article work is good and so is your anti-vandalism work, but only 95 or so deleted edits is just not enough IMO for a candidate who plans to help out at CSD. I'm not going to go as far as to apply WP:NOTNOW to you, Andy, though some more experience would be beneficial. Cheers, Dylan620 (contribs, logs)help us! 11:43, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose I see a lot of "as above" in your AfD votes, a lot of Huggling, and a lot of grammatical (kind of) changes. Nothing that would show your knowledge of policy. I don't think you would intentionally misuse the tools, and I trust you, but unfortunately that's not enough here. Aditya (talk) 12:14, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - I simply cannot support an candidate with 2/3 of their edits using Huggle.--Unionhawk Talk E-mail 12:55, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose – I've interacted with you and you're very friendly. Not enough edits without Huggle, and barely any edits since New Year. Not good enough, sorry. Alan16 (talk) 13:28, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
