USA Football - Unusual Play[edit]

Can someone lead me to internet information regarding the usa pro (I think it was a pro game rather than a college game) football game where the center hiked the ball to the quarterback only to touch his hands to constitute a legal play and then the center placed the ball on the inside of his left ankle and I think it may have been the pulling right guard or right tackle that came across and picked up the ball and scored a touchdown? I think this play occurred near the goal line and about 15-20 years ago. Many Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.61.223.47 (talk) 18:41, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Would this be the Fumblerooski? Livewireo (talk) 23:00, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That was indeed the Fumblerooski; it was eventually outlawed in both high school and college football where an intentional fumble is considered "unsportsmanlike conduct" now. The play was a favorite of Nebraska coach Tom Osborne, with Dean Steinkuhler running the most famous example of it. --Jayron32 00:17, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
