They were probably written by some staff writer at ABC. (As a gimmick to promote the show.) The copyright page just lists ABC as the copyright holder, so that suggests they paid someone to write it. APL (talk) 07:54, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See Ghostwriter. Summary: It's relatively common to have some other person actually write a book, and then have someone else be listed as the author. Most commonly it's done for "autobiographies" of non-writers, but having it done for a fictional character is also possible. I doubt it was ABC staff who actually wrote it - ABC likely contracted out to another mystery writer. Thank you. A search with the singer's name fetches further files with the same audio track, which confirms it's Pauline Byrne singing. (I can't see any information on Youtube page about Artie Shaw. Well I suppose that depends on what you believe about the game. If it is a fair game, the monetary values are added to all boxes at the start of the game. The same applies to the British version. According to Noel Edmunds at the start of each show, only the Adjudicator knows which box contains which amount, and amounts are allocated before the show starts. BBC TV[edit]

I thought perhaps this quiestion would be better placed here, so I am moving it over from Misc.

Just wondering a couple of things here:

1) If I have quite enjoyed watching a particular series on the BBC, is there any way of downloading it from iplayer or elsewhere that I could watch it back any time I want without having it simply vanish after a few weeks? What if I copied it onto my TV's HDD recorder or my Ipod?

2) Is there any sort of service where I could find other programs I might like based on the sorts of things I have enjoyed before? Some list of suggestions of things similar, of the same genera, perhaps? I mean, not only things on now, but uncoming new ideas or even things on before that I might be able to say buy a DVD of or some such?

1) There's no way to legally save things from iplayer, if you want advice on how to save the videos permanantly you'll need to ask elsewhere because you won't get an answer on wikipedia, and 2) the best service I can recommend is other people, find a good forum site (for example Digital Spy) and ask for people to recommend programs to you based on the ones you like--Jac16888 ^Talk 14:53, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There certainly is software you can use to save programmes from iplayer and store them indefinitely, but the legal status of this seems to be completely impenetrable - I would be interested if anyone has information on this. I wasn't sure whether it would be appropriate to link to the most popular piece of software, but I notice that we have a number of articles with links to torrent sites, so here you go: get_iplayer. The BBC's statements on this issue, such as this one, tend to tiptoe around the issue of legality. As for your second question, the official iPlayer website makes suggestions of similar programmes. She is know recording her debut Album in the studio. She has bought out many singles that are on you tube, Ana Masraya being one that she had recorded during the 25th January Revolution. It sounds like they're saying "U-1. Go ahead." "U-1, SWAT is needed for arrest warrant service."

Sounds like "U-1" is a the call-sign of the male voice, and he is being informed by the female voice that a SWAT team is needed to arrest someone who has a warrant out against them. APL (talk) 03:02, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
