Trying to remember a vampire show[edit]

I saw the first episode of Being Human tonight and it got me thinking of another vampire themed show from the late '80s or early '90s that played in the US. It was based in a city, possibly New York or L.A., and concerned a few different clans of vampires. One clan was fairly business oriented and they ran the local underground/mafia. There was another clan that mostly kept to the shadows due to the fact that they resembled the old Nosferatu type vampire. I'm not sure but I seem to recall a Romeo and Juliet type situation between two younger members of the clans. I've already had a look through Category:Vampires in film and television but none of the titles caught my eye. Anyone have an idea of what the name of this show was? Looking for Title of 80s/90s Alien Sci-Fi Movie[edit]

(original poster)The reason why this movie came into my head was because of the release of "The Thing(2011)". I thought to myself, "Oh, they did a remake of that movie where the alien is a farmer and came back to Earth to see if we humans are ready to be harvested". So I watched both 1st and 2nd "The Thing" and found neither to be the movie I was thinking of. So now I need to find out what movie I was thinking of. It's not "Alien VS Predator (2004)" but that was a good movie. It has to be the 80s/90s.
