Better retarget this to The Grandmother (film), a different film. We do have the The Grandmother (1970 film) redirect already, and it looks like the primary topic is the 1981 film? ~~~~

The result of the discussion was retarget to Secularity. signed, Rosguill talk 20:06, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

After a poorly-attended discussion in 2015 at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 February 11#Secular politics, secular politics was retargetted from politics to secularism.

I am bringing this redirect up again for discussion, because in the open discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:E-960 topic ban violations (started 7 July 2021) at least two editors have queried the appropriateness of the current target - which affects the scope of a WP:TBAN. I am not involved in that ANI discussion, and have nothing to say there or here about it.

Secular politics is tagged as {{R with possibilities}}. One answer would be to write the article, which I do not feel competent to do.

Secular is a redirect to secularity. From the DAB page secular (disambiguation), I can see no other current possibilities for the target of secular politics than secularism or secularity. The ledes of those two articles make it clear that they are related but distinct concepts. I therefore open this discussion (with a weak preference for retargetting to secularity). (I'm one of the editors who questioned the target at ANI) What about redirecting it to the DAB page? I think that would be my first choice preference, second choice being to retarget to secularity (so support). The DAB page could be improved by listing both secularity and secularism and writing a brief description of each that would tell the reader the difference. Levivich 17:54, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Retargetting to the DAB page secular (disambiguation) as {{R from incomplete disambiguation}} would be fine by me. I don't think either of the targets I named would be ideal. Narky Blert (talk) 19:17, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's not clear that the moniker "disco-pop" exclusively refers to this subgenre, and is not mentioned at the target. Delete unless a justification can be provided. Note that redirects at this title have been twice deleted at RfD, although those were pointing to a section of Disco. signed, Rosguill talk 15:52, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target, unlikely search term of minimal utility, delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 15:39, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
