Division Italia[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to 1st Bersaglieri "Italia" Division. (non-admin closure) Asmodea Oaktree (talk) 09:04, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target or its itWiki counterpart, and isn't a straight translation of the title. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 20:03, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hardass[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate -- JHunterJ (talk) 12:10, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

While there is a character in the game named Officer Hardass, it's also just a general insult in English. I think it's unlikely that a reader searching for this term would be looking for a video game character whose name is a partial match, so I would suggest deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 19:43, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't know if it's worth a redirect, but this is apparently an alternate spelling for the Indian village of Hardas. - Eureka Lott 22:34, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Hardas per Eureka Lott. It's an alternative spelling, used in the article and Balti language, and even if it wasn't it would be a plausible misspelling. Thryduulf (talk) 13:55, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate. There is a legitimate use at Drugwars which shouldn't be ignored, and a disambiguation page would have the benefit of a wiktionary link. I havec provided a draft. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:48, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mosaic (Purple Haze album)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. wbm1058 (talk) 12:47, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is no mention of this album in any article Leschnei (talk) 19:41, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Pichpich (talk) 20:05, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Purple Haze in mentioned in the target article's performing art section (a cappella group), but the mention is passing and doesn't include the name of the album. As the group itself doesn't pass notability guidelines for an article of its own, I don't think that their album needs a redirect.Less Unless (talk) 17:48, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Highest horsepower[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was no consensus. I think the concerns expressed here are enough to warrant {{R unprintworthy}}, for what that's worth. --BDD (talk) 20:36, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Less ambiguous than the redirect listed below, but as the target is only about production cars it's still a redirect from a broad term to a subset of what it could be about. I would suggest deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 20:36, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. As someone who isn't into automobiles, I've have assumed this is about video games. Confusing redirect. Scrooge200 (talk) 22:29, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Scrooge200, this seems like a rationale that fits better with the similar listing below, did you add it to this section accidentally? signed, Rosguill talk 22:37, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, sorry, this was a mistake. Still, I do vote delete on this one because it's similarly ambiguous. Scrooge200 (talk) 22:39, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. "Horsepower" is only used for production cars these days. Power figures for commercial/industrial engines, home appliances or in physics are usually given in watt. This redirect exists because it is one of the most common ways (#5) people search for the information provided on this list, according to Google Trends. [1] Andibrema (talk) 00:16, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Andibrema, this is the primary topic for the search term. If we have lists of other things by horsepower ranking then a hatnote r dab page can be written. Thryduulf (talk) 01:21, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as ambiguous. Horsepower is also used for ships, as the primary unit of power. The Yamato-class battleships were rated at 150,000 horsepower, and the Nimitz-class aircraft carriers are rated at 260,000; rather more than any car. Narky Blert (talk) 07:41, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • That's an argument for a hatnote, if we have a relevant list or similar, as the usage for cars is clearly the primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 16:02, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as ambiguous. Wikipedia isn't Top Trumps :-) Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:52, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • How is that in any way relevant to this redirect? Thryduulf (talk) 16:02, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • It was a (not very funny) joke—hence the smiley—indicating that "Highest horsepower" is the sort of thing one might bid during a game of Top Trumps. Sorry. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:17, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - while I feel it is likely that most people searching for this would be looking for an article about production cars, I find the keep justification to be quite inaccurate. For one thing, horsepower is still used for topics other than production cars, in spite of the attempts of many to discourage the use of horsepower in, for example, racing cars. But the fact is horsepower is still used for many other things. And even if it wasn't used much for other things anymore, it strikes me as recentism to say that horsepower could only be used in a context it is used in in the present day, when it was used for many other things in the past. A7V2 (talk) 01:16, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • In this context what matters is what people are looking for when they search "highest horsepower" and in the present day that's most likely going to be cars. It is used for other things, yes, and even more in the past, but do we have any content about those things ranking them and/or discussing them in terms of which has the highest horsepower? I didn't find anything, but if we do have other content relevant to this search term (not just horsepower in general) then a hatnote can be added to aid those who are not interested in the primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 03:03, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I agree with you there (hence why I did not say either delete or keep). I was moreso referring to Andibrema's justification which you voted "per" but I see you gave a legitimate reason to keep. I will say then that I think weak keep as I don't think much is lost if this redirect is deleted and although it is probably useful, it is still possibly ambiguous. A7V2 (talk) 07:42, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as ambiguous; no reason it should point to cars rather than somthing with much higher horsepower. UnitedStatesian (talk) 13:59, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sayan (Mossad)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. As the only argument against deletion is invalid, there is consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 22:44, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I plan to write an article for Sayan (Mossad) which is presently a redirect and it is not correct. There should not be a redirect to Victor Ostrovsky from article Sayan (Mossad) The redirect goes to the section of the book he wrote. A Sayan is a helper for a Mossad agent see for example https://www.huffpost.com/entry/mossads-little-helpers_b_487173 BlueD954 (talk) 10:00, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. An article could be submitted to AfC or this redirect overwritten to create an article, but in this case the target article is not a good target, and I can't see a better one. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:44, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Well See links [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]. I hope this helps. If not look at my draft Draft:Sayanim; can redirect there. BlueD954 (talk) 03:35, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep And create article or redirect to Sayanim.Aielen85 (talk) 14:16, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Aielen85: Noting that this comment is your only contribution to Enwiki, it's impossible to implement, since the person closing this RfD is unlikely to create an article themselves, and Sayanim does not exist. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:07, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. wbm1058 (talk) 12:39, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete combination of misspelling and miscapitalisation makes this one too implausible. UnitedStatesian (talk) 16:33, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - the edit history says I made this, but as Kings Of Leon, but at some point someone turned it into an article, then moved it, and then it got turned back to a redirect. the original redirect is still in place (with a new edit history) and there's no valuable edit history here. I don't think the current target is entirely suitable. I suggest Ghost ship and amending the hatnote there to include Ghostboat. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:35, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Term is vague. Perhaps this redirect should be made a disambiguation page or retargeted to Zoom Video Communications. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 02:23, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
