Wikipedia:Adding images[edit]

The result of the discussion was no consensus. signed, Rosguill talk 01:54, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be better off redirecting to WP:Uploading images or Help:Pictures. That's what I was looking for when I searched for it. Anyway, this redirect has no incoming links. There was one pageview in the last 90 days. —Naddruf (talk ~ contribs) 16:01, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • How about we keep the redirect as it is and add a hatnote to its current target? im temtemhOI!!fsfdfg • alt account of pandakekok9 04:08, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't delete. Why is this not a good redirect to its current target, or in other words, if none of the proposed new targets existed, why would we consider doing anything to it? No opinion on keeping or retargeting, but "delete as an unused redirect" doesn't really make sense. Nyttend (talk) 00:13, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Dabify - It's obvious that there are multiple places this can go (the current target, plus both of the options mentioned by the nominator), and I think the title is ambiguous enough that it's unclear where it ought to go. --NYKevin 19:52, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. ~ Amory (utc) 10:00, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target, not a member of the band that recorded it. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 19:44, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. --Stay safe, PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 20:58, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - "Rachel Kapelski" is mentioned in the song "Normal Chicks" on the album "Lunch. Drunk. Love." --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:32, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Not mentioned either at the current target or anywhere else in English WP, so no-one following this link will find any useful information. Aloysius Umbongo N’Danga O’Reilly (namechecked in "Baguette Dilemma for the Booker Prize Guy") has no redirect, and quite right too - that's what fansites are for. List of Mojang employees[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 20:51, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No such list exists (or should exist) on the target article. IceWelder [] 11:14, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - I find it unlikely that such a list would pass WP:LISTN, but since the target article claims that "As of 2016, Mojang Studios employs 70 people in its Stockholm offices,[...]," I don't think it would make sense to try to manage a list of that size inside the target article regardless of notability. It would have to be a standalone. --NYKevin 03:17, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per NYKevin, a bunch of these employees, if this list is created, might not be notable enough for inclusion here. Who needs an extensive list of employees in such an article? Regards, SONIC678 23:38, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This shouldn't be a redirect in the first place, but a standalone page. It's not even used as much (only 59 pageviews in the last 90 days). --im temtemhOI!!fsfdfg • alt account of pandakekok9 04:32, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A redirect to a DAB page with only one actor on it, and from his IMDb entry he looks distinctly WP:NN. Delete. Narky Blert (talk) 10:25, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete this redirect and the corresponding circular entry on the disambiguation page. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:31, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I've removed the circular entry on the dab page. This doesn't point to anyone with this name who's an actor. Hog Farm (talk) 16:16, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Frederic norton[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy keep. Second redirect re targeted to Frederick Norton. (non-admin closure) Captain Galaxy (talk) 14:48, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

These redirects with lower-case surnames are not required because such redirection is automatic, but also the second one is mistargeted. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:21, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Department of Community and Rural Affairs[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy keep withdrawn by nominator, see comments below. (non-admin closure) Hog Farm (talk) 21:38, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion. Nothing currently links to it, and it was used only on Wikipedia before the name of the department was announced in 2017. Retaining it risks the incorrect name being used in the body of articles. Iveagh Gardens (talk) 08:02, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep there are plenty of uses of this term in reliable sources (it seems it was the initially announced name) so its very likely someone will search for it. All those uses except 2 refer to the Irish department, so it is the clear primary topic for the term, with the other two uses relating to Alaska. Further investigation shows that the Alaskan DCRA is actually called the Division of Community and Rural Affairs, part of the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development which is a two-line stub article that doesn't mention the division. The Division would merit at most a hatnote, but as it seems not to be mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia there is nowhere we could point it without being misleading. Tagging the redirect with {{R from former name}} or {{R from incorrect name}} (whichever is correct) would reduce the small chances of the redirect leading to incorrect use in the article namespace. Thryduulf (talk) 16:42, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Withdraw I'm happy to concede that this does have its uses as redirect, as someone could reasonably search for the name as it was originally announced. —Iveagh Gardens (talk) 17:05, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
