This could be retargeted to Help:Wikitext, but then I wondered whether it was really needed at all. It looks like the redirect was created as a convenient end to a redundant page. No links. Bsherr (talk) 17:30, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Strangely, this wasn't created by Neelix, but it's got the familiar features: a somewhat far-fetched derived form of an informal term, with people likely to reasonably disagree about the best target (Libido? Sexual arousal?). – Uanfala (talk) 16:55, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 22:34, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the redirect is titled "Stars of Africa", not "Star of Africa". The only incoming link is from Ayanda Nkili, and in that context it's about an African football academy called the "Stars of Africa", not about the Cullinan Diamond, so the redirect is misleading. This should be either retargeted (although I don't know where) or deleted. JIP | Talk 16:12, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Poopsie[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. There's a definite consensus here that, while "Poopsie" is indeed a valid alternative title for the current target, it's neither a particularly notable one nor obviously the primary topic, and can benefit from disambiguation. I've created a draft disambiguation page with the most immediately obvious entries from the search and from this discussion, and will replace the redirect with it - but it can absolutely benefit from review and adjustment from others. ~ mazca talk 14:49, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The word Poopsie is now used as the brand name of a line of children's toys and has a more common usage than the film. Bulcultorator (talk) 13:41, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: I agree that the redirect is mistargeted, but what do you propose instead? Retargeting? Deletion? JIP | Talk 16:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate It sounds generic, and it is — the word appears in 32 different articles and 29 distinct contexts. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 16:57, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per LaundryPizza, this word is pretty ambiguous, and can refer to anything. Regards, SONIC678 18:00, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Apparently, in the eight years since I created this minor redirect in March 2012, the term "Poopsie" has been developing multiple uses (LaundryPizza03 indicates that it "appears in 32 different articles and 29 distinct contexts"). In response, I have just created another redirect, Poopsie (film)Sex Pot (1975 film), thus freeing "Poopsie" to redirect to the line of children's toys or to become a disambiguation page listing all the different contexts. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 19:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Roman Spinner: "Poopsie" isn't even mentioned in the film article. "Poopsie (film)" would indicate that Poopsie is an alternative title for the film. Is that right? If it is, the article should say so. I can see posters on Google that appears to call it Oopsie Poopsie) and Oopsie Poopsie redirects there: but it isn't mentioned in the article and I can't say for sure it's the same film. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:42, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • @Shhhnotsoloud: Redirects are cheap and plentiful. Having stated that, incorrect and useless redirects should be challenged and are being continually challenged above and below this entry.
As for this particular case, films from countries in which English is not the primary language may have multiple English-language title variants throughout the English-speaking world. Depending on efforts of individual editors, Wikipedia entries for those films may or may not contain redirects from all the variants to the English title used in the main header and all the English variants may not be mentioned in the stub delineating the film.
IMDb lists seven variants, including Poopsie, for this film's English title, none of which are mentioned in the single brief sentence of the film's minimal stub, although I agree that such mention should be made. However, their absence within the stub should not preclude the alternative titles from existing as redirects to assist users in accessing the film.
Users knowledgeable on the subject occasionally find and challenge incorrect film title redirects, thus, if anyone has reason to believe that "Poopsie" has never been an alternative English title for this film, the matter should be brought to the fore for further research and discussion. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 17:08, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
        • @Roman Spinner: Thank you for explaining all that, and agreeing that a mention should be made, but without actually making a mention in the article. Never mind, I've done it. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:30, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate - I agree. This case seems pretty straightforward. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 08:07, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete to avoid inhibiting Search (although a disambiguation page would be OK if someone wants to make one). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:42, 19 April 2020 (UTC). I am unable to determine why this redirects here, and it is ambiguous with One of the Guys (film). The term is ambiguous, so I suggest disambiguation per my draft at One of the Guys, with the sentence-case term redirecting there. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:26, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to AudioPorn Records. signed, Rosguill talk 22:32, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An artist redirects to some compilation that includes a few tracks of the artist. This doesn't seem to be helpful at all. L29Ah (talk) 11:45, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to either AudioPorn Records or Monstercat. At AudioPorn, there's sourced information about the artist's achievements and was recently updated to accurately describe the artist. At Monstercat, it may just be a listing, but there's a source attached to it that describes who he is and an album release with the label. I've presented only two possible targets, but I hope to have this choice finalized later this week. It's more sensible to retarget to the article with an actual description. Jalen Folf (talk) 15:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC), updated 04:30, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to AudioPorn Records as the artist is mentioned a lot more times there than in Monstercat, which the latter caters to a far wider number of artists. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:19, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Appears to be a misspelling. The Sonic wiki indicates the correct spelling is Aquis rather than "Aqius". We do not have a redirect at Aquis. Additionally, this character is not mentioned in the target article. – numbermaniac 07:59, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Enwiki hasd no information about "Aqius". Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:14, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Even if this was spelled correctly, Wikipedia isn't the place for bits of trivia about video games. Biographies of minor characters wouldn't be appropriate. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 10:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible search term. The misspelling alone makes its usefulness questionable, but with the quotation marks, I doubt anyone will search for this. Note that "magically", "magical" or "magic" don't exist. Not a very active user (talk) 07:18, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
