The result of the discussion was retarget to Clothing industry. (non-admin closure) ComplexRational (talk) 00:56, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Seems that this specific phrase could be considered vague since a Tailor also works with garments. Steel1943 (talk) 22:33, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 21:34, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Term doesn't seem to be exclusive to its target. Probably best to delete it so that Wikipedia's search function can do its job to help readers locate the article they are attempting to locate. Steel1943 (talk) 21:25, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Title not specific to target. Utopes (talk) 03:14, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to confinement as most confinement is forced and dabbing is a good option here. Happy Festivities! // J947 (c) 06:09, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Obscure term unlikely to be searched. StonyBrook (talk) 21:41, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, term not specific to subject per nom. Utopes (talk) 03:12, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as confusing. Could retarget to imprisonment as all imprisonment is forced, but I'd prefer deletion. Happy Festivities! // J947 (c) 06:06, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. Term is as useless as Edible food. StonyBrook (talk) 21:45, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Baby stealer[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Child abduction. MBisanz talk 13:14, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect is not mentioned in the target article. Without reference, rather than the target, the redirect could refer to a kidnapper. Steel1943 (talk) 21:18, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If it were Baby stealing, yes. StonyBrook (talk) 22:00, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Steel1943 My thinking was Baby Stealer is a person so it should redirect to Kidnapper which is the closest similar person, plus the definition and link to Kidnapping is right there. On second thought this seems incorrect because we already have Baby snatcher which redirects to Child abduction even though the former is a person and the latter is a thing, so I realize that redirecting to a Dab page is incorrect even though it is more logical because it adds an additional step. And kidnapping is actually a slightly different matter. StonyBrook (talk) 01:15, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2019 Bassetlaw by-election[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 21:33, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There was no by-election at Bassetlaw because there was a general election in 2019 rather than a by-election so this redirect is misleading and should be deleted. Pkbwcgs (talk) 21:04, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree This was a case of "belt and braces" to avoid any hasty IP editor or similar having a field-day. There was no by-election so I fully support deleting the redirect. doktorb wordsdeeds 22:05, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Joint disease[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep & retarget joint diseases to Arthropathy (which has already been done by Mikael Häggström. Doc James' suggestion to move the main Arthropathy page to the joint disease title should be raised as an WP:RM on the article's talk page. (non-admin closure) Ben · Salvidrim!  08:07, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Either these all need to target the same target or all be deleted. For one, the singular redirects can be considered ambiguous since Osteoarthritis is also a disease that affects joints. Also, without a specific dedicated section at Joint, readers may not be finding what they are looking for, such as a list of joint diseases. Steel1943 (talk) 18:44, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. I've now redirected Joint diseases to arthropathy as well. Osteoarthritis is an arthropathy, so it fits in there. Joint does have a disease section with Arthropathy as a hatnote. I've now added a list of joint diseases to it. Mikael Häggström (talk) 23:05, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete "Joint Disease", keep the rest. Rationale for keep per MH; rationale for delete Joint Disease because there's no need to have a version where every word is capitalised. --Tom (LT) (talk) 00:29, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • That redirect was created in 2005 (14 years ago). We don't normally delete "unnecessary" redirects that have been around for even a quarter of that time, because there's no telling what edit summaries, external websites, etc. that might have used that link. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:58, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Redirect all to "arthropathy" or even better move "arthropathy" to joint disease. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 02:30, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like an unclear WP:DICDEF as an alteration of the title of the target disambiguation page. Due to this, readers looking up this word may be better served either using Wikipedia's search function (delete the redirect) or going to Wiktionary. Hay milk[edit]

The result of the discussion was Withdrawn now that the target anchor and term has been restored. (non-admin closure) Steel1943 (talk) 19:38, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target article, and target section does not exist. Steel1943 (talk) 18:32, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. The link #target was missing, I have added this now. We could add more contents but I guess the term is pretty descriptive and does not need further explanations. The main purpose of the redirect is to catch the term and forward the reader to the milk article. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 19:06, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep: Now mentioned, although not in much detail. Glades12 (talk) 19:33, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It targets to an animation studio that developed a hentai OVA of the same name. A video game is not the same as hentai OVA. Teacher's Pet (OVA) already exists and redirects there properly. Jovanmilic97 (talk) 14:00, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
