The result of the discussion was retarget to Chinese intelligence activity abroad. I'm surprised that Chinese espionage doesn't yet exist. I'll create that one as well. -- Tavix (talk) 15:50, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the targeted article, and even if it were, the redirect would meet WP:RFD#DELETE crtieria 10 as "target article contains virtually no information on the subject" (only the name) Jovanmilic97 (talk) 21:09, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • This has almost nothing to do with disambiguation. Glades12 (talk) 11:37, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Glades12, why? It's a disambiguated article title that should normally be listed in Little Princess (disambiguation). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:25, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Men's rights movement#Governmental structures. signed, Rosguill talk 00:51, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This proposed commission is too broad other than Deepika Narayan Bharadwaj. It’s not related to one person but to group of people and targeted page is not only related with it. Harshil want to talk? 14:21, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There aren't really any other movements with the title besides the India one. There is a National Coalition for Men but that's different enough. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:37, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, it's not in the India section, but it is still mentioned in the article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:28, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. — JJMC89(T·C) 01:24, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This title is far too broad to redirect to a speedy deletion template. I would like this to be repurposed somehow, but am fine with deletion as well. Glades12 (talk) 10:34, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Zero transclusions. I see no point in keeping this valuable three-letter redirect in the Template: that might reasonably be used to name a new template in the future. Delete for redlink, perhaps. Template editor SMcCandlish may have a thought one way or another here. Pinging him for his perspective. --Doug Mehus T·C 16:55, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • To be fair, CSD templates (and thus redirects to them) rarely have many transclusions at once. All pages where they are used will within a few hours (maybe longer in complex cases) either be deleted or have the template removed. Glades12 (talk) 06:11, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep essentially per WP:CRYSTAL. Even I as an IP editor can just edit and repurpose the redirect, it does not require any special magic. Until a better use is actually found for it, it is harmless. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 00:44, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was mixed results. There is a consensus to redirect to articles that mention the redirect titles. For redirects not mentioned at any article or at articles related primarily to the Pokemon anime (as opposed to the Pokemon video games) there was no clear consensus. signed, Rosguill talk 01:00, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. There's no entry on the page for a footballer. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:28, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now Keep Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 14:36, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep given that the entries which meet WP:DABRL should not have been removed from the disambiguation page so I restored them, and there's more than one potentially-notable footballer by this name so the existence of this redirect will prevent mislinks. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 13:22, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 22:12, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See also nomination of § Catstep, below. Confusing, not at target (nor the word "chill" or similar). This is categorized as a {{R with possibilities}}, but without mention at the current target it is sill confusing. There are other redirects to this target which are not exactly mentioned but where similar terms are: but this one isn't even close. Delete. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 04:20, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Housecore[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Phil Anselmo#Housecore Records. --BDD (talk) 22:16, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See also nomination of § Catstep, below. Confusing, not at target. We do have Housecore Records as a targeted R to Phil Anselmo § Housecore Records, so we could retarget it there as {{R from short name}}. No incoming links, has had 20 hits this year. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 04:12, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Phil Anselmo as the only notable topic for now. There is also a Housecore Horror Film Festival, which, if notable, can make this a disambiguation with a Wiktionary definition. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:31, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vep[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget. --BDD (talk) 22:14, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to the DAB page at VEP. The article does not use "Vep" or "vep" with lower case, so this is surprising.

The only candidate target (from those on the DAB) that uses lower case is Veps language, but I don't think it's a good candidate for a WP:DIFFCAPS. With this edit to "VEP" I've nevertheless put that as the first sentence, not because of WP:DABPRIMARY but to separate the sole entry for "vep" from all the others for "VEP".

We already have targeted R Visual evoked potential to the same place. A targeted R from red Variant Effect Predictor to Ensembl_Genomes#Variant_Effect_Predictor would be useful for the DAB entry if nothing else. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 02:58, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget per nom. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:32, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to VEP as Visual evoked potential is still an acronym VEP. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:28, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to VEP. I just added a couple items to that disambiguation page to which Vep could refer. - Eureka Lott 16:01, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to VEP as an alternate capitalization --DannyS712 (talk) 21:55, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

5apu[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 22:11, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can't figure out how this redirect is related to the target. Delete unless a justification is provided. signed, Rosguill talk 00:48, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The "5APU" is a humorous and satirical term to refer to the Airbus A340-200/300 series, since they have four CFM 56 engines to power the huge widebody airplane. However, these engines initially designed for A320 / B737 have relatively poor performance on powering the huge wide body airplane, almost as little as how much power an APU can provide. This is where the "5APU" saying comes from, quite common in Chinese-based aviation communities, and is also created as the redirection to A340 page on Chinese Wikipedia. --I am really greatful to people who helped me. Thank you, because you never have to choose to do so. 02:04, 13 December 2019 (UTC) ytx21cn

Comment. The "APU" here is the aircraft's auxiliary power unit. 5APU is red. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 03:15, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete unlikely to be used as a search term in English. MilborneOne (talk) 08:11, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. It does seem to be a legitimate joke term: Google it. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:42, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the search results more carefully and honestly agree with this assessment; Chinese language search results all seem to be using 5APU as described in the comment above. I am no longer in favor of deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 01:57, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete could be any kind of part number. Not mentioned in the article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:05, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The number of WP:RS explaining the origin of the name are rather limited; only one I could find is [1]. More importantly, I don't see how content about this term could be added to the target in a manner that meets WP:WEIGHT. If such content gets added in the future, I would not object to creation of the properly-capitalised 5APU, but without an explanation of this term at the target, that redirect should not exist. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 14:59, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, WP:RFD#D2 confusing, not at target. We can have {{R from slang}}, but that is not helpful. Redirects don't have to meet RS, but without any mention at all in the article (and the difficulty of adding one, RS or not) this leaps into the realm of WP:NOTDIC, particularly Wikipedia is not rhe Urban Dictionary. This is the English Wikipedia and the term does not sem to be widely used in the English language. There is a protein ligand (?) with this label but that's not notable: [2]. Just one of many possible ligands that can be inserted into that protein chain. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 01:33, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Catstep[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. signed, Rosguill talk 01:01, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not even mentioned at the target. Looks like a coined term that was only ever used on Spotify. Jalen Folf (talk) 00:38, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per WP:RFD#D8, "novel or very obscure synonym ". Apparently a kind of filthstepdubstep, but neither "filthstep" nor "catstep" are mentioned there. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 04:00, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom, not mentioned and not specific to Monstercat. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:47, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak disambiguate (drafted below the redirect), or retarget to terracette which lists this as an alternative name and hatnote it for the other stuff listed on the draft. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 07:53, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for making that draft. For the Silat dance, we might as well create Cat step as a targeted R to Silat#Stances_and_footwork, since that is a useful term as separate words. I did ponder whether CASTEP is close enough to be on any kind of DAB, but anyone who knows that suite of programs is unlikely to mistake it as Catstep, and we don't have Castep, so I decided against it. With that out of the way, and monstercat not even mentioning it (WP:DABMENTION), we'd be left with a WP:TWODABS. Gsearching "catstep geology" gives some useful RS that can be added to the terracette article, and also as cat-step. I hesitate to add the RS as links here, knowing how they muck up RfD, but your search is as good as mine. I'll add a couple to the article. 85.238.91.41 (talk) 01:47, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
