Media Station Inc was a U.S. video game developer with no obvious relationship to the Japanese adult video company. Refs: [1] [2] [3]. Certes (talk) 19:41, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Altana (God)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 07:16, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The disambiguation (God) seems to be potentially confusing, and the article says it's actually a goddess, rather than a god. Therefore, the redirect is misleading and should be deleted. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:51, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak keep For better or worse, "god" is still a bit of a default, something a user could potentially search if they remember Altana is a deity but not its gender. My bigger concern is that it could simply be too trivial, though there is mention, and the line at Altana (disambiguation) seems appropriate. Mark as {{R from incorrect capitalization}} at least, since Altana (goddess) or Altana (Final Fantasy XI) would be more appropriate. (I know offhand Final Fantasy X had a boss by this name, but I don't think it was a deity, and it's not mentioned.) --BDD (talk) 13:25, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as mentioned in the game's plot and expansion set sections. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:53, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Final Fantasy XI character classes[edit]

The result of the discussion was refine. -- Tavix (talk) 01:23, 27 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gameguidey redirect, and not really touched upon in the article itself. Unnecessary. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:47, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Refine to Final Fantasy XI#Job system as likely search of what they might consider types of character classes. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:22, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • What Angus said — that seems to be the original intent of this when it was an article, and history suggests it was merged. The content clearly exists in the target, so {{R with history}}. ~ Amory (utc) 01:25, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Final Fantasy IX story[edit]

The result of the discussion was keep. ~ Amory (utc) 01:17, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gamecruft and implausible/unnecessary redirect. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:36, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep per WP:MAD and {{R from merge}} seeing that the content was merged to the target article. Final Fantasy IX covers the Final Fantasy IX story, so I see no reason why this redirect may cause any harm or confusion. -- Tavix (talk) 17:05, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd also point this to the Plot section. (Strangely, it does have a "Story" subsection, as though story was just element of plot, along with characters and setting. This should probably be changed.) --BDD (talk) 14:04, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ingame location that isn't mentioned in the article at all. Unnecessary redirect. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:32, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. General searches on news articles bring up Spanish articles about Gaza. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:00, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Does not redirect to any sort of detailed location list. WP:GAMECRUFT and an unnecessary redirect. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:26, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, the setting section discussions the various locations in Final Fantasy IX. Note this is also a {{R from history}} that has substantial content, which usually is not deleted via the WP:RfD process, especially without strong evidence of harm or confusion. -- Tavix (talk) 16:59, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible redirect name, is just gamecruft and should be deleted. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:24, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I haven't played the game, but I understand these to be the two major worlds of the setting. Since this redirects to the Setting section, I think it's addressing what readers would be looking for. --BDD (talk) 19:46, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment it needs a R from unnecessary disambiguation tag though since the combo of Gaia & Terra isn't used in other articles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:57, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Coming from the person who wrote XY, I'd say it doesn't apply, since there is a place both concepts are discussed together. (Usual disclaimer: that I wrote XY doesn't mean other interpretations of it aren't valid.) It would be different if each had a standalone article. --BDD (talk) 17:32, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a shared element of many FF games, not just this one. However, not being mentioned in the "common elements" section of the main series page, it should just be deleted as having no clear target. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:20, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. The current target seems to be the only clear target to me. It is mentioned there that "Mognet" was introduced in this game, and later in the article explains briefly what it is. -- Tavix (talk) 17:08, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep article describes the term --Lenticel (talk) 00:26, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Refers to an in-game play but is essentially just gamecruft that isn't mentioned in the article. Unnecessary redirect. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 03:17, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

move redirect as per above to characters of Final Fantasy IX. The play in particular is used to introduce a series of characters in the game. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 09:36, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
