Topic not mentioned in the target article, and I can't find any reliable source indication of a reason why he would be. Creator's other bits of handiwork include Dafydd Wooldridge to Daffy Duck, Greg McManus to Philadelphia (film) and Norma Byrne to Alice Cooper, all of which suffer from the identical problem, so frankly I suspect some form of "redirecting classmates to unflattering targets" attack vandalism. Bearcat (talk) 20:59, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. (The following is copied and pasted from Dafydd's RfD) Checked Facebook for the page name, and sure enough, there was a Dafydd that's friends with all of the redirects that Bearcat listed. Booyahhayoob (talk) 01:48, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as made up redirects of friends or acquaintances. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:50, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unused. Does not follow any of the standard convetions for WikiProjects. Magioladitis (talk) 20:46, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't see any reason to keep this as it is unused. ww2censor (talk) 21:01, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment This was a predecessor to the current target and has non-trivial editing history. – Uanfala 21:12, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as harmless and useful for attribution. I think that there is some bot that replaces these redirected templates with calls to the original as well, if so then no current transclusions does not equal unused. Thryduulf (talk) 23:06, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There is no such bot. I used to do it while editing but the list of redirects is huge and difficult to maintain. -- Magioladitis (talk) 07:07, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. This is a redirect in the "Template:" namespace: Deletion hinders those who are not familiar with "wikispeak" from finding the target template. Steel1943 (talk) 18:53, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Operation Andrew[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) feminist 08:23, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Pointless and misleading name for an operation known only under two other names. This is a pointy redirect after a user didn't do too we'll at TFA Errors (which appears to be par for the course for them, and I think I'm right in saying that they have been taken to ANI for the disruption before). Judging by WP:RFD#DELETE, this is criteria 8: "If the redirect is a novel or very obscure synonym for an article name, it is unlikely to be useful". – The Bounder (talk) 19:34, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. The article makes clear that "Operation Andrew" is a translation sometimes used for Unternehmen Andreas, and if it's common enough to be mentioned in the article then I don't think it's novel or obscure enough to qualify for deletion under that criterion. I note that the name is also used in the subtitle of the book Nazis Counterfeits of British Currency During World War II: Operation Andrew and Operation Bernhard by Bryan Burke (1987), and that Google Books turns up several other hits referring to Operation Andreas (as well as lots of false positives). – Arms & Hearts (talk) 20:51, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep The article in question states clearly that "Unternehmen Andreas is listed in histories as either Operation Andreas or Operation Andrew." – Q.E.D. We'll pass over the personal attacks but notice that the nominator did not inform the creator of the redirect as recommended at WP:RFD#HOWTO. Tsk. Andrew D. (talk) 10:07, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • It is not a requirement to inform others. No personal attack in there, despite the whining. - The Bounder — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.194.101 (talk) 20:01, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've bolded the two terms in question in the lead paragraph. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:52, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. In the lead it's mentioned that another name for it is Agent Andrew. If someone saw it referred to as Agent Andrew, it's wholly likely they would search for it on WP imo. And as an aside, it is not required to notify the creator. It's suggested but not necessary, and I have done both, depending on the entirety of the situation (making no statement on what would be proper here as I'm un-involved) ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ᐐT₳LKᐬ 14:44, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Drizzy drake rogers[edit]

implausible redirect Jon Kolbert (talk) 08:45, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note nominations with identical rationales combined. Thryduulf (talk) 11:22, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the word "Rogers" does not appear anywhere on the target page (his real name is given as "Aubrey Drake Graham"). "Drizzy" occurs once, in the title of a source "Drizzy Drake Releases 'Views' The Album Went Gold Overnight But The Reviews Are Harsh" being used to verify that critical reception to one of his albums was "much divided". That source refers to him as "Drizzy" multiple times but does not include the word "Rogers". There are multiple people called "Drake Rogers" but none of them appear to be notable and none of them appear to be musicians. Thryduulf (talk) 11:22, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: From what I've seen while looking up said pages, it seems said pages are mentioned in his song "Ransom" which is on "Heartbreak Drake", which is subsequently a redirect to Drake's page. Think that's why it redirects to his page. Booyahhayoob (talk) 15:46, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. There is a song lyric in which Drake refers to himself by this name, as per Booyahhayoob — the claim being, according to the annotations on Genius.com, that this is L'il Wayne's friendly nickname for him because his e-mail address was with Rogers Internet at the time they started corresponding. Which big whoop, so is half of Toronto's including mine. I don't see this as much of a reason why anybody would ever actually search for it. Bearcat (talk) 21:37, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Nickname or not, it's not mentioned in the article (per Thryduulf) and there is no plausible reason anyone would search for it over just 'Drake'. ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ᐐT₳LKᐬ 14:41, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
