This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on February 24, 2016.

Shlivovitz[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep as {{R from incorrect spelling}}. (Early closure after relist, as consensus has now been reached.) Deryck C. 17:14, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as WP:RFD#D5 nonsense. There are a lot of redirects to this target, it seems one for every language mentioned in the section Slivovitz#Etymology, even though some of the languages have no special affinity to Central and Eastern Europe (e.g. Italian Slivovitz). I've been marking them as {{R from other language}}, but this one is pushing it. No incoming links, stats are precisely zero. Si Trew (talk) 16:00, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment from creator ehh, I created it as a spelling I'd seen used in the wild. The word does have hits on Google and this is where it would be redirected, fwiw - David Gerard (talk) 18:00, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find any RS uses on Google. and there is one listings site for the "Shlivovitz Orchestra" (here), although in the running text it's spelt "The Shlijvovitz Orchestra", and the band actually seems to spell its name "The Shljivovitz Orchestra". There's a one-woman play called Edith Shlivovitz: Eighty-Five and Still Alive. And that's about it. Si Trew (talk) 20:42, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
ehh, I'm not worried either way - David Gerard (talk) 22:51, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also not worried either way.. but I am getting worried about this idea that redirects need reliable sources. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 10:39, 15 February 2016 (UTC).[reply]
    • Fair point, but I couldn't find any non-RS uses (in this sense) either. SiTrew as IP 84.3.187.196 (talk) 05:16, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, as an accurate pronunciation of this word after you've drunk a few of them ;) — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:08, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • It's a rendering of the "Š" in the Serbo-Croatian Latin spelling - David Gerard (talk) 10:42, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep Yeah, that's how I'd expect a "Š" to render. Maybe not a super likely search term, but used alone, that's probably what someone's looking for. Weak given the other options listed above. --BDD (talk) 15:25, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - this is a pretty reasonably close English approximation of how my Slovak/Hungarian relatives pronounce the drink. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 18:07, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Trouble is, nobody else seems to. hu:slivovitz redirects to hu:szilvapárlat, where it is the title of the first section; in Hungarian "S" is pronounced like English "sh". So far so good, but since in Hungarian it's a foreign word, we can't really mark as {{R from other language|hu}}, I think. The transliterated Hungarian is [sligovica] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help) (as the English article also says), roughly "shligovitsa" in English. HU:WP redirects hu:sligovica to hu:szilvapárlat but we don't (and needn't). I don't know anything about Slovak.

No Pork No Lard[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. JohnCD (talk) 17:02, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This stub was merged to the target after an AFD back in 2009, but is no longer mentioned there. Contrary to what was stated at the AFD, this isn't just an issue in Singapore, but also is seen in Malaysia. It would probably be better to find an appropriate article where the content from the history could be added and retarget there, but if not it should be deleted because the current target doesn't give any information about this. 58.176.246.42 (talk) 05:34, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • Delete - no relation to target article, per BDD. No evidence of outside use either, though there are some references to a store by that name in Singapore. Ajraddatz (Talk) 21:18, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as WP:RFD#D2 confusing. True, products containing no pork or lard may be preferred for reasons other than religious laws. Si Trew (talk) 03:57, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lego media[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. --BDD (talk) 17:17, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect is falsely capitalized, should actually be Lego Media. However, Lego Media and LEGO Media both exist. Also, Lego media is not linked from anywhere. Lordtobi () 07:54, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - {{R from alternate capitalization}}. This catches default lowercase searches, as well any search where the case doesn't match the other two exactly ("LEGo MEDIA", "lego media", "legO media", etc). Try it! The search engine is getting smarter. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 15:29, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Lower-case "media" is likely to be understood as an ordinary noun rather than a proper noun, so people might interpret Lego media to mean "media products related to Lego", e.g. as in Final Fantasy media. Aside from the video games listed at the current target, there are other Lego-related media products like those at list of Lego films. 58.176.246.42 (talk) 15:55, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - past name was LEGO Media International according to the article, so there is some worth in keeping it around. The usual "redirects are cheap", etc. Ajraddatz (Talk) 21:20, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Template:State leaders by year[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was procedural close, no longer a redirect. (non-admin closure) -- Tavix (talk) 16:36, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:XY. This would be useful if there's a template that covers every year, but the template has since been broken into {{Lists of 21st-century state leaders}} and {{Lists of 21st-century state leaders}}, meaning there is no longer one target that "fits" this description. -- Tavix (talk) 15:49, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's no longer a redirect, but it's now a ridiculously long template. I'd recommend splitting that off by century, kind of like the result of the previous TFD... -- Tavix (talk) 16:36, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What? I think this is nonsense. "Boy Vey!" is a Jewish dating guide, but I can't find any connection with the Middle Ages -- Tavix (talk) 15:37, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, not mentioned at the target, probably for good reason as it'd have to be a trivial mention. -- Tavix (talk) 15:07, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as useless. I can't find any books, films etc. that is associated with this title. Closest that I got is called The Prophecies by Nostradamus --Lenticel (talk) 02:05, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. The PropheciesNostradamus#Works. (I made it an R to section.) Si Trew (talk) 04:01, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Someone searching for 'The Prophecies', 'Nostradamus: The Prophecies', or the like is pretty clearly looking for information about the famous collection of mystical prognostications by that title (or related titles). There is no specific document known as "The Prophecy" as far as I can tell. I'm wary about keeping a redirect working that would seem to imply otherwise; that's arguably misleading the reader. This just doesn't seem helpful to me. For those who don't have this page in their watchlist and think this is an awfully arbitrary pair of countries to create a redirect like this for, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bangladesh–Iceland relations for the deletion discussion of the article that was once under this title. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:08, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fifth Helena Drive[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 17:18, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In 2005, an IP editor created an article at this title about a street in Los Angeles on which Marilyn Monroe owned a home. In 2006, the article was redirected to the article for Marilyn Monroe. "Fifth Helena Drive" is not mentioned at the current target, and it doesn't look like the street is notable enough to warrant a standalone article. Therefore, I think deletion is appropriate. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 09:06, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. JohnCD (talk) 16:49, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can tell, there is only one person named Jeremy Collins with a Wikipedia article. It is entirely implausible that a reader would search for Mr. Collins by adding "(born April 20, 1978)" after his name. Additionally, this was created with an edit summary that says "NUKKKKKKKKKpkins ELLEY." -- Notecardforfree (talk) 08:47, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, aside from close relatives and superfans, I can't imagine anyone knowing his exact birthday. And if you do, you probably don't need to be looking him up in an encylopedia, as you'd probably already know everything else about him. -- Tavix (talk) 15:12, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - stats show this occasionally gets a flurry of activity; external links likely. It points to the right target and is harmless. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 18:13, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect was created with an edit summary that says "created a redirect lol." Indeed, this looks like a backronym an invented acronym that does not appear anywhere else on the internet. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 08:42, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is the scientific name of an extinct species of monkey for which we do not have an article. It now redirects to Caipora, a mythological figure. Until an article is written about the extinct monkey, we're better off with nothing.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  00:19, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
