The Sovereign mine tram was incorrectly labelled as a funicular, The defining aspect of a funicular is that the trains/trams are connected to the same cable so that they each act as a counter balance. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funicular The trams in the Sovereign Hill inclined tramway are each driven by separate cables, and so are technically inclined lifts, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funicular#Inclined_lift David.moreno72 16:20, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Whether it is technically a funicular or not doesn't matter, what matters is whether people call it one and Google suggests that they do. The redirect is too new and has been nominated for deletion for such a large percentage of its life so far that page view statistics are not going to be a reliable indicator of how much this is used in practice, so I suggest keeping for at least 3-6 months after this discussion closes and then review it in the light of the then-available information about how it is used. These are Neelix redirects, but I think they need discussion. The title is mentioned at the target, but not in detail and only that he is "part of" it. Google searches suggest that there is such a thing as The Alternative Seminary which Claiborne is associated with, and there are no other uses of the term as a noun phrase. Is it enough? I don't know. Thryduulf (talk) 13:28, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: Hopefully it won't come to this, but Thryduulf, what would you like to happen absent input?

  • Delete Article suggests he only teaches at The Alternative Seminary, but it is not clear it is one of his major works or collaborations. Is he putting that organization on the map in terms of notability? See [1] where he is listed as one of the teachers. The result of the discussion was retargeted since there were no objections. -- Tavix (talk) 15:29, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to Wikipedia:Requests for comment/All. Apparently the current target of this redirect was originally named at the title Wikipedia:Request for copyright assistance, so that this shortcut made sense. However, the target has been moved eight years ago, and this shortcut should now direct to the same page as WP:RFC/A does. Pppery (talk) 20:20, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
