Tony Blair isn't German. I think this Neelix redirect could be retargeted to Gerhard Schröder because Schröder was nicknamed that after he was elected. MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 19:33, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

- God's chosen people → Chosen people (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
(Neelix rediret). Not sure about this. The target article is fine and very balanced, but I am not sure that putting "God: (the Christian God, to an english language audience) is any go. Adeste fideles and all that. Pr we create [[There is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is his his Prophet], much as I respect and love Christian formal language and Muslim well most things really except abjuring alcohol, wrong religion for me the, I tiink this is rather confusing. Si Trew (talk) 17:08, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Keep as appears to be a plausible alternative name, as it is in the lede. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 19:37, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Keep. Nothing in that english phrase automatically implies the Christian God. All references to the "chosen people" that I can think of do so in the context of religion. Rossami (talk)
- Keep as plausible synonym --Lenticel (talk) 02:03, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Keep - Redirects can be helpful even if they're possibly inaccurate and/or use loaded language, anyways, and this is a situation where the concept of X group being a 'chosen' collective is already commonly connected to standard religious traditions. Frenches[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
Stub Article is fine but this is an absurd redirect to it, WP:RFD#D1 hinders search, the place is not callled "Frenches" but "Frenches Ravine". I imagine it was called something like French's Ravine before the US Board of Geographic Names got hold of it. Si Trew (talk) 15:54, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to French's as a plausible error. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 15:59, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to France per http://www.dictionary.com/browse/frenches which targets it at French "relating to, or characteristic of France, its inhabitants, or their language, culture, etc." or French per [1] "third-person singular simple present indicative form of French" or just Delete as not needed or too vague a word target. The current target is about the most irrelevant of all the choices. Typical Neelix redirect lacking any thought or research. Legacypac (talk) 16:59, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to France per Legacypac. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 19:38, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to French. I think Ivanvector has a point, but I've also seen it refer to multiple people with the surname French or to French kisses. All of these are listed at the dab French. -- Tavix (talk) 23:24, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to French per Tavix. It's a valid plural or verb form of a couple of things which are listed at the disambiguation page, but it is neither the correct name of the current target nor the correct plural of "French" in the sense of "related to France". 210.6.254.106 (talk) 01:43, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, French's is listed on the dab page anyway, so that suits my argument. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 15:57, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to French per Tavix since this is a plausible misspelling --Lenticel (talk) 02:02, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to French or French's. I'd lean towards the mustard as the most likely intended and primary topic, but Tavix makes a reasonable point.—Godsy(TALKCONT) 03:24, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Retarget to French per Tavix. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 20:47, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Potawatomies[edit]

- Potawatomies → Potawatomi (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
(Neelix redirect) I'll ask for User:Ivanvector advice on this one, one Potawatami, two Potwaatamies? This is the people in general so is a a bit like saying Englishes or Frenches. I am not sure it would be pluralised in this way In English (and canadian English would probably know better than my British English). Si Trew (talk) 15:49, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- It's like Ivanvector says potato and I say potaties, I say beer and he says LCBO, potato, potaties, tsunami, tsunamiae, lets call the whle thing off. Si Trew (talk) 16:03, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Delete - Neelix's special flavour of nonsense modification, in this case pluralizing a word that is already plural, forming utter nonsense. Multiple people of Potawatomi heritage are Potawatomi, not Potawatomies or Potawatomians or whatever else. We don't have Iroquoises nor Anishnaabegs nor Mi'kmaqs, nor Métises nor Québecoises (those might be French for a feminine group of Métis or Québecois, not sure) nor do we have Irishes, Portugueses, Finnishes, and on and on. We do have Canadians and Acadians and Germans and Belgians and the like, because those are the proper plural forms. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 16:20, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) These days, you say beer, I say Loblaws. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 16:20, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Blimey I used to have to get it at The Beer Store. Have the lcbo loosened up a little? Si Trew (talk) 17:19, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- No, not really. They do sell 12-packs now, but you have to fight to find anything there that's not either AB InBev or Molson Coors. Province allowed a trial recently of letting "select grocery retailers" (meaning just Loblaws as it turns out) to carry beer, and that's generally where I buy it now owing to the much better selection. Stack house[edit]

- Stack house → Stackhouse (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
(Neelix redirect) Not sure about this one, targets a DAB which is people called "Stackhouse" without the space. With the space i think this is nonsense, it is not as if it is a chimney house or a counting house or any other kind of real bricks and mortar house. With my cryptic crossword head on I could see it going to House of cards or stockhouse (storehouse, stockhouse, warehouse) or pretty much anything. WP:RFD#D2 confusing, not at target.
