This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on May 12, 2015.

Badults[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was wrong forum. This is actually a move request. Also, since this seems technical in nature, given that I cannot find another subject referenced as "Badults", I've posted this request as a technical move at WP:RM/TR. (non-admin closure) Steel1943 (talk) 23:35, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Update: The technical move request was contested: the move request discussion can be found at Talk:Badults (TV series)#Requested move 12 May 2015. Steel1943 (talk) 13:48, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the target of this redirect after declining an improper attempt at speedy deletion. However, I think it would be prudent to move the target Badults (TV series) to this location, as it would seem to be the primary topic under this name. Safiel (talk) 23:31, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Freedom from Foreign Oil[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. I'm also deleting the third redirect, identified by Ningauble. --BDD (talk) 13:37, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No related content at target of redirect; no easily available sources for notability; only known reference is self-published by target. Hugh (talk) 16:49, 12 May 2015 (UTC) Redirect unused in article space. Hugh (talk) 16:51, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

With respect to User:HughD I have knocked these two together, but quite right for Hugh to bring them here, I will put my comment later. Si Trew (talk) 19:18, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Delete both. I think these R's are rather WP:POINTy, the redirecs I mean. As far as I understand it, America actually is a net exporter of Oil at the moment, not an importer (speaking as one who worked in the oil and gas industry for many years). Why should Freedom from Foreign Oil go to a US topic anyway? Could equally go to Royal Dutch Shell or British Petroleum or North Sea Oil or Burmah Oil or 101 other places, so delete as vague and pointy. Si Trew (talk) 19:23, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Consider also the redirect Freedom from Foreign Oil Scorecard, which at one time linked to a section in the target article.[1] The scorecard is no longer mentioned in the article, but at least it was a real thing. "Freedom from Foreign Oil Pledge" does not appear to be a real thing. It may be a confabulation of the scorecard and the AFP's "No Climate Tax Pledge", which is mentioned in the target article. The phrase "Freedom from foreign oil" has been bandied about by a number of sources that are not associated with the AFP, some of which advocate positions at odds with the AFP's.

Delete both as misleading, and consider deleting the third. ~ Ningauble (talk) 14:19, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete both as POV. Delete the third as a deleted section. Elassint Hi 18:09, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as misleading redirects. --Lenticel (talk) 15:23, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trivial acronym from SpongeBob. It's missing a period at the end so I'm not sure if it's plausible to retarget to Poop... Tavix | Talk  05:20, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. It's not mentioned at the target (is it a euphemism, or whatever more-specialised word describes that kind of euphemism such as D.I.V.O.R.C.E.)? I am not familiar with the series beyond recognising its protagonist.) P.O.O.P. with the final punctuation is red. (Perhaps that's a good parallel, since D-I-V-O-R-C-E is a different article, but they cross-refer, since the first is a parody of the second). Si Trew (talk) 12:33, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The reference is from the episode "Krusty Krab Training Video" (Episode 50 season 3) but seeing there is no article for that episode I do not see how this would be a good redirect to the series as a whole. FYI the acronym is "People Order Our Patties". - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 13:49, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Poop#Acronyms where such acronyms are discussed. --Lenticel (talk) 00:02, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to poop disambiguation page, where several acronyms are listed -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 05:07, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, BDD (talk) 13:03, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Although "Perl Object-Oriented Persistence" is almost as bad. The way to do it is whack it all into JSON, but there we are. Si Trew (talk) 05:42, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just Delete it, not a plausible search term for poop acronyms. Elassint Hi 18:13, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Zaid[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was wrong forum. This is actually a move request; the discussion has been moved to Talk:Zayd#Requested move 12 May 2015. Steel1943 (talk) 23:04, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This page was redirected to Zayd for no reason. Zaid is most commonly used name not Zayd. Redirect it back here. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 08:48, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reverse redirect. I am going by @Umais Bin Sajjad:'s better knowledge of Arabic language than I have, but the user's name suggests might be more fluent then I am! Quite happy to move the article over, but keep the redirect just in case, as we have discussed for other languages transliteration is hard to do perfectly, but it is harmless to keep it for those not fluent in Arabic. Si Trew (talk) 09:14, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong comment. Zaid has history as an article in 2006, and thus, should not be straight-up deleted to move Zayd over it. The attribution needs to be moved elsewhere first. Steel1943 (talk) 18:58, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, Steely, am I up a gum tree? I thought the two were the same just with different spelling/transliteration. If not, we need to differentiate somehow. Si Trew (talk) 19:32, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. --BDD (talk) 13:18, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

all redirects abolished, orphanized the page now. safe for deletion Compfreak7 (talk) 07:18, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as harmless. Si Trew (talk) 09:15, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - directs readers to what they're looking for, no reason suggested for deletion. WilyD 09:55, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
WilyD, on this occasion, is quite right: there was no reason suggested. For me as someone who speaks a little Japanese but never got the hang of Kanji (I can do hiragana and katakana) this is useful to an English-speaking audience. My doubt was with "radicals" rather than "diacritical marks", but this is better than nothing. Si Trew (talk) 10:15, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
