Should be deleted, as it is not helpful in any way. I read an article that Malaysian Airlines flight 370 might have headed for Pulau Langkawi, so I searched Pulau on Wikipedia, only to be redirected to Island. I speculate Pulau means Island in some language, but this is the English language Wikipedia and this redirect is anti-helpful.

  • Keep – Looks like a proper redirect to me. Multiple search results point it to meaning "Island". Pulau Langkawi means "Langkawi island". I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Coderzombie (talk) 08:44, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retatrget to Palau as a {{R from typo}} ; the current target is bad, since it's not English. WP:NOTDICT Wikipedia is not a translation dictionary. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 09:03, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
update Disambiguate per Lenticel -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 09:07, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Nedgreiner:: No, these words are false cognates. Despite the similarity in names, the meaning of "Palau" in the Palauan language is different from the meaning of "Pulau" in the Malaysian language. Jarble (talk) 21:23, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Dabify I made a dab page that has entries about non-island articles that also has "Pulau" in their name. It would become unwieldy if we add all the islands that bears Pulau in their name in the dab page so I didn't include them there. I did link to the category holding the Malaysian islands though.--Lenticel (talk) 00:42, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment I added {{intitle}} to handle that. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 09:07, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • That looks handy. I might use those in the future. Thanks 70.50.--Lenticel (talk) 01:15, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • The reservoir and the national park shouldn't be included in the disambiguation list, since they are WP:partial title matches. I agree with having the page as a disambig, though, especially since it provides a convenient way to link to Wiktionary. --Paul_012 (talk) 17:45, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • I've removed the partial title matches.--Lenticel (talk) 01:28, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambig looks good, clearly has several possibilities. WilyD 13:32, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
