Not related to the target at all. 2AwwsomeTell me where I screwed up. See where I screwed up 19:14, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep in absence of evidence of a preferable target. "Smelt" is related to Shimer College, as, according to our article on it, their mascot is the "flaming smelt." (Only the second-silliest important fish I've heard of, after the Sacred Cod.) This means that the redirect is valid, so the only reason it should be changed is if there's a significantly more valid target, e.g. "WikiProject Smelting" or "WikiProject Smelts," or a well-known essay called "smelting an article" or "new-page patrol is like dipping for smelts." — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 00:02, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per PinkAmpersand. Add a hatnote to Wikipedia:WikiProject Fishes if you're feeling particularly pedantic. --BDD (talk) 17:34, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
