The result of the discussion was Withdrawn by nominator.. Non-admin closure. --Fyre2387 (talkcontribs) 20:20, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This seems useless. I can't imagine somebody would type this into the search bar. TCN7JM 19:00, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I guess I learn something everyday :). I'm gonna go ahead and withdraw the nomination. Thanks, guys. TCN7JM 22:47, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's a standard Bluebook abbreviation for this society's law journal. See The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation 455 tbl.T.13 (Columbia Law Review Ass'n et al. eds, 19th ed. 5th prtg. 2011). These sorts of difficult-to-understand abbreviations frequently get dumped in articles by people using legal references to cite things. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 19:05, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So, we should keep it? TCN7JM 19:10, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Considering I created it, that's my opinion. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 19:11, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. I think we need a third opinion. TCN7JM 19:15, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, used in a reliable source and mentioned in the target (unfortunately not verbatim). Its appearance in the article Erik_Bluemel seems to validate the creator's point. Siuenti (talk) 22:10, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - While it's true that nobody would ever in a million years type this into the search box looking for the "Patent and Trademark Office Society", the reason you might search for this is if you see it given somewhere as a citation (which is pretty common it seems) and you are trying to figure out what the heck it is. --B (talk) 22:19, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Target is about the whole of West Virginia, not the western part. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 08:22, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Delete I'll be removing what little reference remains, it doesn't appear worth mentioning. ~ Amory (utc) 18:42, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No mention in target. Seems like stealth advertising. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 02:16, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. WP:NOTADVERT. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 08:26, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. This was originally an article that was merged into South Shields following a 2009 AfD. The chip shop was mentioned in the article until it was removed without discussion by Tripsmerit72 (talk · contribs) with the edit summary "Special Fish n chip shop. Trivial." on 19 March this year (5 days ago). [1] I don't know whether the chip shop is notable, but given that referenced information about it was in the article for nearly 4 years until so recently I think it's worthy of discussion. Thryduulf (talk) 18:09, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep WP:R#K1 due to licensing/attribution requirements unless the fact that the content merged has since been deleted permits deletion of the attribution chain (I'm not sure it does). —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 15:28, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mendaliv has a good point about the merge, however the current title can not remain as it is indeed spam. I say move without redirect to South shields (a redirect that actually is plausible). This preserves attribution, makes a useful redirect, and eliminates spam. We will, of course, need to leave a note on the talk page explaining. Ego White Tray (talk) 03:24, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Sharp (heavy metal music singer)[edit]

This Name+VerboseDisambiguator is a highly implausible search term, as was noted by the closer of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kevin Sharp (heavy metal music singer) when the substantive page was deleted. He is already listed at Kevin Sharp (disambiguation). BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 01:00, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reply - Per WP:CHEAP, "Unless a redirect is actively misleading or gets in the way of a pagemove, there is little point in deleting it". --Jax 0677 (talk) 03:57, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • It is misleading. This guy was in two bands, therefore redirecting to just one of them is misleading. Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 08:13, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Reply - But if he was only a member of one notable band we would at least leave a redirect to the band. Leaving nothing at all because he's a member of two notable bands doesn't seem to make much sense. If redirecting to one of two bands is misleading, then he should have a stub article about him indicating that he is a member of multiple bands. At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bastian Emig, it states that "the suggestion that we should not maintain a redirect is definitely wrong ("redirects are cheap") and someone who searches for this person's name should find something useful". When people start to type "Kevin Sharp" in the search field, "Kevin Sharp (heavy metal music singer)" appears as one of the selectable options. --Jax 0677 (talk) 17:22, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Reply . Someone who searches for Kevin Sharp will find Kevin Sharp (disambiguation), where he is listed. That's much more use than Name+VerboseDisambiguator. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 07:58, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reply - There is only one Kevin Sharp who sings heavy metal music, so the searchbox term would help. --Jax 0677 (talk) 18:27, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
