June 21[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on June 21, 2013

template:SPP[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was no consensus to delete but with no prejudice against overwriting. Thryduulf (talk) 17:40, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

should be deleted given the numerous meanings of SPP. Frietjes (talk) 17:40, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom SPP has many usages -- 65.94.79.6 (talk) 00:36, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep to preserve history. This redirect was created as part of a page move. While the content was not at this title for very long, retaining the redirect can help future editors who need to sort out the various moves. I have no objection, however, to overwriting the redirect with a better template or with disambiguation content about other plausible "SPP" templates. Rossami (talk) 22:53, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thryduulf (talk) 17:40, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

should be deleted given the numerous meanings of SDP. Frietjes (talk) 17:38, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom SDP has many uses -- 65.94.79.6 (talk) 00:36, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • As with the nomination above, keep to preserve the history of the pagemove but no objection to overwriting the current content with something actually listing those plausible other meanings. Rossami (talk) 22:55, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was no consensus to delete but with no prejudice against overwriting. Thryduulf (talk) 17:40, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

should be deleted given the numerous meanings of PP, and the fact that es:template:PP has an entirely different meaning. Frietjes (talk) 17:35, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete PP has many different meanings -- 65.94.79.6 (talk) 00:37, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep the pagehistory (but allow overwrite). My reasoning is similar to the nominations immediately above with the additional note that content existed at this title for over a year. Rossami (talk) 22:57, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 21:15, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

should be deleted given the fact that WP has a more common usage here at WP. Frietjes (talk) 17:18, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

also adding NSP and PAP, due to the myriad of meanings of NSP and PAP. Frietjes (talk) 17:27, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bookish[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Richard A Thomas turned this redirect into an article about the company. ~Crazytales (talk) (edits) 20:09, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect name in an obscure adjective relating to the subject of the target article, book. More importantly, I would like to expand the redirect page into an article page for a company that goes by the same name, "Bookish". This falls under reasons #8 and #10 under WP:RFD#DELETE Richard A Thomas (talk) 14:49, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • "If all you want to do is replace a currently existing, unprotected redirect with an actual article, you do not need to list it here" - There's nothing stopping you from turning the redirect into an article, go right ahead. This isn't a very helpful redirect in the first place, so I don't think a hatnote to book is necessary. Siuenti (talk) 16:32, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep with no prejudice against an overwrite. Assuming, of course, that the company meets Wikipedia's generally accepted inclusion standards for companies. Rossami (talk) 22:59, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:HITLER[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was no consensus. Discussion is ongoing at WT:HITLER, and people are encouraged to contribute to it if they have an opinion about this redirect. I'm closing this discussion with no prejudice to a future nomination should one be desired. Thryduulf (talk) 17:30, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary to point of article, almost unused, and potential for misunderstanding (see discussion with original editor at User talk:Magog the Ogre § Hitler). —[AlanM1(talk)]— 08:44, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion is now at User_talk:Magog_the_Ogre/Archive_28#Hitler because archiving. ~Crazytales (talk) (edits) 20:13, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, per (correct) request of that user, it was copied and continued at Wikipedia talk:HITLER. We'd appreciate further input. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 20:47, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bentwater Cold War Museum[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. --BDD (talk) 18:55, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would like deletion to occur. The rationale for this action is: 1) "Bentwater" is/was a title spelling error. 2) The "Bentwater" redir page is duplicated by a "Bentwaters" redir page (the "singular" one should have been renamed to "plural" rather than copied over, in the days before the RAF Bentwaters article came to carry the museum para instead. 3) Both redir page titles appear in category page lists (causing confusion). The logical solution is to keep the "Bentwaters" redir page, but delete the "Bentwater" redir page. Pete Hobbs (talk) 12:23, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep {{R from typo}} -- 65.94.79.6 (talk) 00:39, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and tag with one of the {{unprintworthy}} templates. Plausible typos and pluralization variants are both encouraged uses of redirects. The proper tag under the redirect will clear out the category listing problem. Rossami (talk) 04:46, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
