Zeugma, Turkey[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. I'd recommend that the links to the modern Turkish settlements, when they're found, be added to the existing Zeugma (disambiguation), though there would be nothing wrong with redirected Zeugma, Turkey there. --BDD (talk) 16:02, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is no mention of Zeugma in the article to Samandağ to which this redirects. It is possible it is supposed to be the same as Zeugma, Commagene, which appears to be in Turkey, but a little further East than Samandağ. ColinFine (talk) 21:25, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I did this redirect a while back. At that time, I was doing some research and I remember I found 3 Zeugma's from antiquity present in modern-day Turkey. As such, I think that Zeugma, Turkey should become a disambiguation page for those 3 cities. Unfortunately, this has been a while back, I don't have those sources handy and my time is quite limited at the moment. Maybe my other colleagues at WP:CGR can help.--Codrin.B (talk) 20:12, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request deleting this redirect page. It's no longer needed, as there is now a Wiki article on her using the correct spelling of her name (with the hyphen). The redirect uses an incorrect spelling of her name. It could cause confusion and is preventing the new article from showing up in Google search results. JNorman704 (talk) 16:08, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think the Google search results were just a little behind; it's showing up for me, though of course Google tweaks it differently for everyone, so it could still not be showing up for you, for whatever reason. You have my admiration for writing what seems to be a very well-put-together article, but I think you're misunderstanding the purpose of a redirect like this one. The redirect doesn't need to be correctly spelled, and any confusion from the lack of a hyphen (a hyphen which, of course, still appears in the redirect's target) is outweighed by the added navigational benefit. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 20:43, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. Still not showing up in my Google search results but I'll practice patience (for a change!). JNorman704 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:06, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So, Keep, notwithstanding Google's update cycle, as this should remain a valid redirect that will assist people who don't know that her name is hyphenated to be directed to the correct version of her name. --Bejnar (talk) 05:21, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There's almost definitely enough information on homeless veterans to justify a proper article here, meaning that this is better as a redlink than a redirect. Especially seeing as there's no real good target for this—redirecting to a related advocacy group is like if we had violence against women as a redirect to a particular womens' charity. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 04:07, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete US-bias, organizational-bias. There are homeless vets outside of the US, and even in the US, homeless vets are a broader topic that this organization -- 65.94.79.6 (talk) 01:04, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
