This page provided formatting for Help:Introduction to policies and guidelines and its daughter pages, but all of those pages moved from WP to Help namespace. It is unlikely that anyone would search for or read Help:Introduction to policies and guidelines/TabsTop; that page has no content, only formatting. There is no edit history except for the move across namespaces. Cnilep (talk) 02:25, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. This redirect is improperly disambiguated, as well as there not being any section detailed enough on Final Fantasy VIII explaining this topic. A related redirect Ifrit (Final Fantasy) currently redirects to Gameplay of Final Fantasy#Summoning Magic, but that article is about the general characters of all of the series, and not this specific mention. For those reasons, I recommend that Ifrit (Final Fantasy 8) be deleted. Steel1943 (talk) 00:42, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Gameplay of Final Fantasy#Summoning Magic which seems to be the location of the information we have about the character, even if it is less specific than the search that is what they are looking for. "Final Fantasy 8" seems to me to be a perfectly logical search term for "Final Fantasy VIII" so I don't see what harm this is causing. Thryduulf (talk) 08:46, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Being somewhat familiar with this gaming series, I was originally thinking of taking that route that you suggest, Thryduulf. However, to retarget this to Gameplay of Final Fantasy#Summoning Magic is somewhat misleading. The disambiguation in this title would lead any reader to think that the target is specifically about the "Ifrit" in "Final Fantasy VIII", which it is not. In fact, at the present time, there are several "summons" names from the Final Fantasy series that redirect to this section, even though there is not descriptive information about them in this section. Also, I do not see any harm that could come from deleting Ifrit (Final Fantasy 8) at this point, given that this redirect is an orphan. Also, just a bit of history about this redirect: I had originally tagged this redirect for a speedy deletion for criterion R3 back in August 2012, but it was declined due to the redirect, at that point, already existing for four months. The disambiguation on this redirect is not proper enough for any target. The redirect Ifrit (Final Fantasy) already exists, pointing towards Gameplay of Final Fantasy#Summoning Magic; that should be enough until more is written about the topic "Ifrit" in any Final Fantasy-related article.
