This redirect category must be deleted because it's no sense to keep it. Only one letter make difference between names. Does not exists reasons to keep it. XXN (talk) 19:35, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Two other video games named Nightshade; too broad of a redirect. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 19:13, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Political analyst[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. WJBscribe (talk) 13:18, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think there's a difference between a political scientist and a political analyst: broadly speaking, the former is an academic and the latter a media personality. See, for example, this piece referring to Fox News host Angela McGlowan as a "political analyst". Political commentator, which I think is a closer synonym for "analyst", points to Advocacy journalism, so that's one possibility, but I'm not sure it's that much better. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 16:06, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment, Wikipedia articles often use "Political analyst" as a disambiguator, and many of those subjects are political scientists. e.g. Daniel Levy (political analyst), and Tom Barry (political analyst) might also be an academic - not 100% sure. If we are using this term as a disambiguator, I think we should have an article describing the term. John Vandenberg (chat) 13:25, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:REDLINK. Political analysts aren't (necessarily) political scientists or vice versa. Agree with the nominator that the Political commentator redirect is pretty weak too. An article should be established there or here, with the other term redirecting to that article (was that confusing enough?). --BDD (talk) 18:22, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. CAT:CDS may still be created and nominated for deletion. --BDD (talk) 18:26, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only WP:CNR/WP:PNR that uses lowercase 'Cat:'. See Special:PrefixIndex/Cat:. 11 pageviews this month and 10 pageviews last month. John Vandenberg (chat) 12:04, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm probably the only one, or one of the few that misspell this. I do it all the time though. Would you be OK with having CAT:CDS instead? Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 14:33, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, I'm OK with CAT:CDS. If we move the current page to CAT:CDS, without leaving a redirect, we even keep the history. John Vandenberg (chat) 17:55, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete it should be CAT:CSD per WP:CSD not WP:CDS; and it already exists, so this miscapitalized version is not needed. It is a recently created redirect, without a complementary Speedy Deletion page redirect either. -- 76.65.128.112 (talk) 05:00, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per anon --Lenticel (talk) 02:00, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for reasons mentioned. Lc spelling is not convention. -DePiep (talk) 12:33, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
