The result of the discussion was Keep. (non-admin closure) Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 10:00, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing AFD. Article was speedy nominated, and declined, then prodded by anon IP and declined procedurally on the grounds that redirects are not subject to prod. IP then nominated for AFD, but was not transcluded correctly. I am fixing.

Nominators rationale seems to be that the redirect is an empty article from the name in the article, redirecting to that persons father (to a subsection that discusses the son) Gaijin42 (talk) 17:36, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • keep seems like a plausible redirect, and original IP nominator might not understand what redirects are for?Gaijin42 (talk) 17:37, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - given the short blurb in the father's article, I don't think there's much chance of using a redlink to encourage creation. WilyD 08:28, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

White entertainment[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. JohnCD (talk) 20:26, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Delete because lolwhat. 96.241.150.64 (talk) 06:47, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment this is an ancient redirect, dating from 2005. It originally pointed at Media and ethnicity, which was then moved to Ethnic stereotypes in popular culture. That page was deleted in a 2007 AfD, but restored to become a redirect to the present target following a 2009 DRV. That doesn't make this a good redirect though.
The redirect does, just, get hits above background noise and so is borderline worth keeping if there is a suitable target. We do have Ethnic media, but that reads like an academic essay rather than an article (I've just tagged it as such, but I'm going to seek further input at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Media about whether it can be anything more). Thryduulf (talk) 09:36, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lolwhat indeed. Any page that ever could have been a reasonable target has been deleted. And White Entertainment, I mean really, what? But this has been around since 2005, so there's probably external links. Honestly, I think after considering everything, Redirect to White people is the best option. • Delete, no real target, best not to pretend there is one Siuenti (talk) 21:37, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Google Search. JohnCD (talk) 20:24, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to retarget, but this is such a high-profile redirect that I don't want to do it without discussion, and I doubt that I'll get much input at the redirect's talk page. Google is presently an article about Google Inc. (URL http://www.google.com/intl/en/about/company), while I suspect that people who type www.google.com are much more interested in what's at that URL — Google Search. Shouldn't it be retargeted to the search article? Nyttend (talk) 02:27, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget per Nyttend. Also worth noting is that Google.com redirects to Google Search and I don't see any reason for the two to have different targets. Thryduulf (talk) 09:17, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per nom. Seems reasonable enough. SchuminWeb (Talk) 19:01, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Historic fur[edit]

The result of the discussion was Keep for now. Tikiwont (talk) 20:54, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Given that images with this template were to be reviewed for migration to other rationale templates, this rediect is now considered redundant. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 01:28, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, for now. If we're supposed to review the images tagged this way and place them under better license tags anyway, then this seems to be the best course of action: 1) finish migrating the remaining images to better tags, 2) nominate {{Non-free use rationale historic}} for deletion, and then once it's deleted, 3) speedy delete the redirect as G8. No sense jumping the gun here, and then we can tackle the deletion of the redirect as a byproduct of the template's deletion. SchuminWeb (Talk) 03:11, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
