In modern English, lechery and lust are not the same thing. Anyone who wants a page on lechery should write one. Redirecting to lust is just confusing people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonathan.robie (talkcontribs)

  • Comment: I agree with your point, although I'm not sure what the ideal alternative is. Delete? Soft redirect to wiktionary? --V2Blast (talk) 20:01, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • While they are very different as words, as encyclopedia concepts they are more than similar enough to be treated in the same target article. Nevertheless, soft-redirect to Wiktionary using {{wi}}. Rossami (talk) 22:24, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I like the soft redirect to Wiktionary suggestion. I'm not sure how to implement that - should I add the redirect now, wait for the item to be deleted and then add it, or what? Jonathan.robie (talk) 19:53, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • As the nominator of this discussion and there being no dissent so far, you can be bold and just make the change. This discussion will likely remain open for a few more days to confirm the decision, then be procedurally closed. Rossami (talk)
    • Thanks. Done. Jonathan.robie (talk) 15:13, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary re-direct page. This is just a pet-name.
Anish Viswa 06:15, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep and tag as {{R from nickname}}. Redirects from nicknames and other alternate names are a Good Thing to have - category:Redirects from alternative names contains over 64,000! In this specific case, the redirects gets over 150 hits each month and is prominently linked from Grandmaster (film) and almost certainly an unknowable number of external sites. The title doesn't conflict with anything - a Google search shows that every hit on the first few pages at least is for this person and is not otherwise harmful (and even if it were derogatory, which there is no evidence of that I've seen, that would not be a reason to delete). Thryduulf (talk) 12:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for the same reasons as above - it seems to be a relatively popular nickname for the actor. --128.2.100.151 (talk) 18:40, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Mohanlal is often referred to as Lalettan and redirects are cheap. --Anoopkn (talk) 03:14, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect in user space to user talk page; serves no purpose I can see. Drmies (talk) 04:39, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Exactly what harm is this redirect, internal to a single user's userspace, doing? Thryduulf (talk) 12:47, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - the guy's userpage and talkpage and comments are pretty incomprehensible, and nothing links there except these discussions and notifications thereof, but I'm not sure there's a real need to delete a subpage of his userpage... (Doesn't fall under any existing policy either.) Though RfD is "for discussion", not "for deletion", so that might not be what Drmies is suggesting (though, still, no need to change it). --V2Blast (talk) 20:14, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. WP:Redirects are cheap and it's totally harmless, being in user space and linking to another page of his own. Knight of Truth (talk) 23:14, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep harmless.--Lenticel (talk) 00:11, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
