I am going to recommend deletion of this redirect. (1) It has no incoming links; (2) There is a distinguished professor of this name, who recently held the John Nicholas Brown Chair of Counterterrorism at the US Naval War College. When or if an article were to be created for the distinguished professor it should not have to be a disambiguated article title, when the redirect has no incoming links. Geo Swan (talk) 03:45, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - the lack of incoming links is not relevant for redirects. However, in addition to the suggestion of the nominator there are also a couple of other possible notable candidates. Further, this spelling is not given in the target article so it may be confusing to searchers. Bridgeplayer (talk) 16:46, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as a confusing redirect.--Lenticel (talk) 02:28, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, I agree that it is a confusing redirect. Zickel (talk) 20:42, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question - Is there a sense in which this might be a sensible transliteration? I don't understand the Turkish enough to be confident that this is not a reasonable misspelling for an English speaker who has simply heard the name. —mako 18:37, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Originally targeted to Federal State School#Federal's Got Talent, but that article was itself later redirected to the stub Federal, Queensland as a non-notable school. This redirect is about an event at that school, not mentioned by its current target. Delete regardless of whether Federal State School is restored to its former glory.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 03:19, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, non-notable event. WWGB (talk) 05:17, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - lack of notability is no bar to a redirect. However, I have failed to find any reliable sources that would enable mention of this event to be added to the target. Consequently it would be confusing to anyone searching. Bridgeplayer (talk) 16:16, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete a non-useful redirect as nothing in the target article is referred to by the term. Zickel (talk) 20:44, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - No longer appropriate given the deleted articles. —mako 18:37, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yasin Cisse[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete per WP:RED. Ruslik_Zero 10:54, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Better served as a red link than a link to a random list so that it can easily be seen the article is missing if the player becomes notable at some future date. DJSasso (talk) 03:03, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - per WP:RED; insufficient bio information to make the redirect helpful. Bridgeplayer (talk) 15:35, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a useful search aid because the Redirect term is listed in the target article. Zickel (talk) 20:47, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - per WP:RED. It seems quite likely that Cisse will get an article sooner rather than later. —mako 18:38, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Better served by a red link than a link to his junior team so that when/if he becomes notable people will notice his article is missing. DJSasso (talk) 02:59, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - per WP:RED; insufficient bio information to make the redirect helpful. Bridgeplayer (talk) 15:35, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a useful search aid because the Redirect term is listed in the target article. Zickel (talk) 20:47, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:RED and the nominator. —mako 18:39, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
