Redirect created by user who apparently wants to bypass the long-argued consensus to keep List of surviving veterans of World War I, so he can redirect that to this -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:43, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Withdraw that please - the creator has been blocked as a sock of a long-term disruptive editor, and I've speedied it as vandalism -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:56, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is one of a very large number of redirects created pointing towards 2011 Indian protests against black money, and I don't see the point in most of them. They're unlikely to be useful as redirects - they're not things anyone would ever type in looking for this set of protests. I can't see most of them causing active harm besides for search clutter, but most of them just seem irredeemably useless. Besides the named nom, there's also a bunch more that I think can be discussed at the same time, which I've listed below. A couple of them might be salvageable as useful redirects, but due to the massive redundancy I have had a hard time guessing which ones - so I've just listed all the related redirects:
2011 satyagraha
2011 satyagraha against black money
Baba Ramdev fast against black money
Baba Ramdev hunger strike against black money
Baba Ramdev protest's against black money
Fast against black money
Hunger strike against black money
June 4, 2011 protests in India
Mass fast against black money
Protests against Indian black money
Protests against black money in India
Protests at Ramlila ground against black money
Protests by Baba Ramdev
Protests by Swami Ramdev
Ramdev protest's against black money

Since my original post, the creator of these redirects has been banned as a sockpuppet. Kevin (talk) 01:16, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Delete all - The sock owner is now up for a community ban at WP:AN. The above redirects are part of a long, long sequence of abuse. - Sitush (talk) 10:07, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Sorry, I'm a bit daft. I thought this was about proposed redirects. These have all been redirected to appropriate articles. So, what are we discussing? Isn't this case closed? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:27, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, redirects for discussion is about discussing existing redirects, specifically whether they should be deleted or retargeted. There is no central place to discuss proposed redirects as one isn't needed - either be bold and just create them or discuss it on the talk page of the intended target. Created in error. See Ruby Peak (California)droll [chat] 05:33, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - It seems like a common sense redirect. A lower case word redirecting to and uppercase word is pretty standard. Inks.LWC (talk) 05:43, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - That's fine with me. I learn something new everyday. –droll [chat] 07:00, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete; misspelled Latin name. 112.202.31.91 (talk) 15:57, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - plausible misspelling (by me at least). Unless that would mean we'd need thousands of the things, in which case it can go. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 13:23, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
