This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on July 20, 2011
Tomgirl[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was retarget to tomboy. Tomboy now contains a brief explanation in its introduction. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 20:21, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
- Tomgirl → Effeminacy (links to redirect • history • stats)
Unlikely search term. Found no uses outside Urban Dictionary and Chris-Chan related stuff. Started out as article created by SPA, then redirected by another user. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 19:53, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Delete as misleading. In addition to its use as an antonym of Tomboy, it is also used as a synonym - for example. Consequently, targetting it at Effeminacy is misleading. If anything, it should be retargetted at Tomboy after some explanatory material has been added to the revised target. Bridgeplayer (talk) 20:49, 21 July 2011 (UTC)- Rework into a short article explaining the uses. It's a reasonable search term. DGG ( talk ) 00:40, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- Comment - A separate article is only possible if there is enough sourced material to support one and, frankly, there isn't. It is a reasonable search term but that isn't a basis for creating a page; rather it's a good argument for retargetting it somewhere useful. Anyway, on reflection ... Bridgeplayer (talk) 11:34, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- ... Retarget to Tomboy. I have added a sourced comment to that page to support the synonym usage. I can't find a reliable source for the antonym usage so I think that the retarget is fine.
- Comment - The result of this RfD should also apply to Tom girl. Bridgeplayer (talk) 11:34, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Aquarian Age the Movie[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was Retarget to Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution. --Taelus (talk) 11:22, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
Aquarian Age is a disambiguation page, and none of the links are movie-related. If it was deleted, someone might create an article when seeing the red link. TimBentley (talk) 17:30, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Delete as misleading. Bridgeplayer (talk) 19:47, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:REDLINK. Thryduulf (talk) 21:55, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- I agree that it is misleading to take The Age of Aquarius as meaning nothing but the musical - it would be more sensible to have "Aquarian Age" redirect to "New Age". How else could one interpret Marylin Ferguson's book, "The Aquarian Conspiracy"? ACEOREVIVED (talk) 15:21, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Retarget to Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution. This is an direct-to-video squeal of the original anime series and therefore a viable search term. —Farix (t | c) 21:10, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Retarget to Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution per Farix. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 20:22, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Crete Province, Ottoman Empire (disambiguation)[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was delete. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 20:15, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
- Crete Province, Ottoman Empire (disambiguation) → Ottoman Crete (links to redirect • history • stats)
This used to be a redirect to Crete Province, Ottoman Empire, which was a disambiguation page with Crete Eyalet and Crete Vilayet, but since both redirect to Ottoman Crete, I changed it to a redirect. Now that there is no disambiguation page, the (disambiguation) redirect has nowhere to go, so it should be deleted. TimBentley (talk) 15:08, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Delete as misleading. Bridgeplayer (talk) 20:28, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
