I really have no clue why this redirect is here. It seems like someone's personal opinion (i.e. this film should be considered a "new classic") 67.164.60.27 (talk) 17:26, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep but refine target to Another Cinderella Story#Soundtrack, which should remove the surprise factor for people who don't know that "New Classic" is song from this film. This song (sung by Selena Gomez) is the only specific use I can find of "New Classic" - there are plenty of other uses as part of the phrase "a new classic X", but no single use seems to reach anything like encyclopaedic prominence - . I would not object to a retargetting to Selena Gomez#Discography, but the amount of information is the same on both articles so I don't really see the point of changing such a widely used redirect (300+ views last month for example). San jose sharks seasons[edit]

The result of the discussion was nomination withdrawn. Alexanderovechkinfan (talk) 21:54, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think this redirect needs to be deleted because the redirect San Jose Sharks seasons also exists. That redirect is better because the appropriate capitalization is used. Having this redirect is unnecessary because, if I were to search for Boston bruins seasons, the redirect that would be used to lead to List of Boston Bruins seasons would be Boston Bruins seasons automatically. Therefore, this redirect is redundant and unnecessary. Alexanderovechkinfan (talk) 13:13, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Redirects for capitalization variants are one of the preferred uses of redirects. Redirects do more than merely support the search engine and some of those other navigational purposes are case=sensitive. All redirects are "redundant and unnecessary" in some respects. Those are not reasons to delete them. Redirects really are that cheap. This one has existed for several years and is creating no apparent confusion. Keep unless there is some showing of harm. • Keep as a good example of when we should have alternative capitalisation redirects. Thryduulf (talk) 17:09, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why these redirects are needed. The history isn't worth preserving (nothing greatly momentous there). (If this is kept, the {{inactive}} tag should be removed, as it is pointless.) — This, that, and the other (talk) 09:56, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
