Donut Dilemma[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. Jafeluv (talk) 08:57, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page was created as a redirect to a DAB. The page creator then placed an external link to the video game Donut Dilemma on the DAB page. I have removed that external link per MOS:DAB. Cnilep (talk) 22:04, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - this redirect has no valid target. Title is the name of a non-notable game played on the TRS-80 ("Donut Dilemma" is trivially mentioned in the article for the computer, but I don't think it's enough of a mention to merit a retargeting). 147.70.242.54 (talk) 22:36, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cross-namespace redirects to WikiProject subpages[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete all. Jafeluv (talk) 08:54, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The above are cross-namespace redirects from subpages in mainspace to subpages in the project namespace. They are not plausible search terms and lack significant incoming links or page history (some were moved, but the pagemove is preserved in the page history of the target pages). This is a follow-up nomination to the group nomination on 3 February 2010, which ended with a general "keep" consensus, but without prejudice (if I'm not mistaken) to a more focused nomination. -- Black Falcon (talk) 20:56, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - absolutely no need for these cross-namespace redirects. —Ed (talkmajestic titan) 04:07, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Kill all with fire - no point in hanging onto any of these. Probability of any of these being used as search elements is δ raised to the seventh power. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 20:26, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Per above reasons. They're not exactly the most frequented WP pages either, strange ones to create redirects for, Lord Spongefrog, (I am Czar of all Russias!) 13:13, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rebecca Kaplan[edit]

The result of the discussion was redirect moved to Rebecca Kaplan (The Young and the Restless) to make way for an article about the non-fictional Rebecca Kaplan. The reason for the nomination is not relevant to the target's new location, I'm closing this discussion with no prejudice against a renomination if anyone so desires. Thryduulf (talk) 09:52, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rebecca Kaplan currently redirects to The Young and the Restless minor characters#Rebecca Kaplan. There is a non-fictional Rebecca Kaplan who is an active politician in the San Francisco Bay Area and rumored candidate for Mayor of Oakland in 2010. She is currently the Oakland City Councilmember at-large (one of four citywide elected positions in a city of 400,000 people). The real Rebecca Kaplan also garners most of the top google hits for her own name. As part of a project to create pages for all major office holders in the San Francisco Bay Area, I want to create an article on Ms. Kaplan, but the existing redirect prevents this without putting a qualifier in the page title. Should I create a disambiguation page? Or is it more appropriate to simply remove the redirect to the fictional character and place a short disambiguation link at the top of the new article on Kaplan the politician? OaklandWatchdog (talk) 20:26, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here's what I would suggest:
  1. Move the page history of Rebecca Kaplan to Rebecca Kaplan (The Young and the Restless), and delete the resulting redirect; update the few incoming links to point to the new location.
  2. Create an article about Kaplan the politician at Rebecca Kaplan (if, that is, she is notable) and link to the redirect for Kaplan the character in a hatnote.
This method provides for sufficient disambiguation and allows us to keep the page histories separate. Are you prepared to create the article now? -- Black Falcon (talk) 21:09, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have the beginnings of a page ready to go, and I've included the hatnote. I'm relatively new to this, so I have no idea how to move the page history. And I believe that once I've posted all the sources and links to Kaplan, which include numerous television appearances, magazine and newspaper articles, it will be clear that notability is not an issue. OaklandWatchdog (talk) 21:24, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You can move a page's history using the "move" tab at the top of the page (next to the "history" tab); see Help:Moving a page. I have gone ahead and performed the move in this case to clear the way for an article about the politician. -- Black Falcon (talk) 01:19, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Body part wenis[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. Jafeluv (talk) 08:52, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible search term Tavix |  Talk  13:57, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete because 1) "Wenis" is not mentioned in the target article (purportedly the skin covering the "funny bone" or tip of the elbow; 2) This "definition" is a blog-driven slang term that does not appear in reliable sources; 3) Improper disambiguation of Wenis; 4) "Wenis" is a redirect (to Unas, an alternate spelling of a Pharaoh's name) that was formed after an earlier article for the "body part" term was deleted in 2005. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 18:13, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
