A spin off from the time that WP:DRAMA redirected to ANI. While I am not opposed to attempts at humor this one is not very good and unused. Delete on WP:RFD#DELETE criteria 3 and 8: Offensive and useless Yoenit (talk) 21:10, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Checking in lacrosse w/out ball in stick[edit]

Unlikely redirect that started life as one of those random articles that speedy criterion A10 was created to handle. Anyone who is likely to search on such a lengthy phrasing is unlikely to search on the exact phrase including "w/out", so this does not help searching, and it is not useful for linking either. I became aware of it mostly by searching on the simpler term "stick check", which we didn't have a redirect for at the time, and now that we do have such a redirect there's no use for this one. Gavia immer (talk) 21:08, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, implausible artifact of a redirect-as-deletion (on an article that should just have been deleted, but didn't fit any CSD). Cleanup time.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 09:40, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete utterly implausible that anyone would type this. — Anomalocaris (talk) 20:40, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, per above reason. Daniel Case (talk) 16:56, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BRB Canal[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Mixed. Canal Bank Road deleted as several articles mention this same road so relying on the search function is a better solution. BRB Canal and Bambawali-Ravi-Bedian Canal re-targeted per talk:Bridgeplayer. -- JLaTondre (talk) 20:20, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vague redirect search terms that could refer to multiple canals, not just ones in Lahore. Also does not receive significant page view stats. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 06:54, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Khussa[edit]

Redirect name is mentioned in the target article only in passing, and is different from the subject of the target page. Could be fleshed out as an article if it was not a redirect. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 06:49, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Khussa are a form of Mojari. The answer is to expand, and explain, the reference in the page not to delete a potentially useful redirect. Bridgeplayer (talk) 23:31, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vague search term for a redirect; could be any Congress rule, not just in India. Also receives little in page view stats. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 06:10, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible typo with low page view stats. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 05:45, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

143 people made this typo last month, I don't see how it is unlikely or why you would want to delete it. Yoenit (talk) 20:44, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
2318 people entered Mr. Anderson with a space, so most people know to put in a space. If this redirect did not exist, people entering Mr.Anderson would get a search results page, the first result being Mr. Anderson, which is fine for everybody. On the other hand, leaving in this redirect creates the false impression that Wikipedia will have a redirect for every omitted space, and as I showed above, this is mostly not true, and I would strongly oppose any effort to start creating a space-omitting redirect for every period-space-including redirect. — Anomalocaris (talk) 22:42, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So 6% of the people get it wrong and will be forced to go through search results just because you don't like the idea of space-omitting redirects? Why shouldn't wikipedia have space-omitting redirects for cases like this? Yoenit (talk) 23:18, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Low traffic redirect from an implausible typo; not sure anyone would search for this. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 05:33, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete completely implausible, why would anybody ever type this? — Anomalocaris (talk) 20:37, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

South Mongolian language[edit]

It is Southern Mongolian, not South Mongolian ––虞海 (Yú Hǎi) 04:56, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • So explain why readers who get the name wrong should not be served by a redirect that has them end up at the correctly named article. Uncle G (talk) 17:58, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - plausible misnomer. Bridgeplayer (talk) 23:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
