January 26[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on January 26, 2009
Fi foil → Fi-Foil[edit]
Redirect to (and former location of) a CSD A7'ed article. --Dynaflow babble 18:49, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Speedy delete CSD G8 - so tagged. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 19:14, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Shellback (Songwriter/Producer) → Shellback (songwriter)[edit]
Delete: this page has a disambiguator whose capitalisation breaks MOS:CAPS and whose use of the slash breaks WP:SLASH. It does not describe the article per WP:D; Shellback is notable only as a songwriter. The page is new so there is no need to keep it in case it is linked to externally. Only edit history is a copy-paste move that has been reverted. Rogerb67 (talk) 09:51, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as unlikely extension of the smaller search term. Usrnme h8er (talk) 14:20, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete per above. Tavix (talk) 18:45, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Victoria Marshman → America's Next Top Model[edit]
Unnecessary redirect, it should targeted to America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9 page not the parent article. 121.96.116.206 (talk) 01:35, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Unnecessary RfD, you should Be Bold and redirect the article instead. Usrnme h8er (talk) 14:19, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
What were they thinking? → The Angry Video Game Nerd[edit]
This is not WikiQuote. I also doubt James is best known for saying that. He does say this sometimes, but I still can't see the purpose of this redirect. If you look up "What were they thinking" on Google, AVGN doesn't appear on the first 10 result pages, AVGN is not best known for saying that, if there is anything AVGN is well known for it's the swearing. I really think this redirect should be removed since this is not WikiQuote and "What were they thinking?" is not James' most well known quote, if you disagree please leave a comment stating that you disagree. 194.144.87.74 (talk) 00:49, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as an unreasonable search term. In fact, someone searching for this would most likely be looking for something else. Usrnme h8er (talk) 14:18, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- It's a shame that we don't have an article on What Were They Thinking: The 100 Dumbest Events in Television History as it would be a natural redirect to this book title (and we have a handful of articles actually citing this tome), but for the time being, delete. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 18:48, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as the expression is in far too general use to be targeted to one person. In addition, it only appears in the article as part of the title of one of the references, and so the article itself is not claiming that it is a well known associated catchphrase. PaulJones (talk) 20:16, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Misleading, far from the only use. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 23:05, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
