January 15[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on January 15, 2009
Nasal Sex → Sexual intercourse[edit]
I can find no information relating to this (I feel strange for simply having checked...) and the redirect seems like nonsense to me! Richard0612 23:18, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- see Homosexuality_in_animals#Amazon_Dolphin.Geni 23:24, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- well.... redirect to that... also, I need to erase that mental image from my mind >.< --Enric Naval (talk) 08:21, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Why would anyone search for nasal sex? --Shadow master66 (talk) 20:21, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Anakyn → Darth Vader[edit]
I've nominated also:
I think that Anakyn, Aniken, Ani Skywalker and Anakin Starkiller should be retargeted, and Dark Vator kept. David Pro (talk) 21:35, 15 January 2009 (UTC) David Pro (talk) 21:35, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- retarget to Anakin Skywalker. --Enric Naval (talk) 08:24, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- So be WP:BOLD and do it, don't see much point in discussing this unless you expect significant opposition. Kusma (talk) 09:41, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Please note that WP:BOLD is an editing guideline suggesting bold action to be done, not a policy requiring it to be accomplished; this is Redirects for discussion; and some editors are bolder than others, depending on the circumstances. Sometimes suggestions are only suggestions. B.Wind (talk) 23:13, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Benzoporphyrin, Benzoporphyrin derivative → Verteporfin[edit]
Misleading redirects. Verteporfin is not the same as benzoporphyrin (and, technically, there isn't a single compound called "benzoporphyrin"); and there might be any number of other benzoporphyrin derivatives. ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 20:19, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.6th Britney Spears Studio Album → Britney Spears[edit]
Also I'm nominating Britney's sixth studio album.
I suggest to redirect both to Circus (Britney Spears album). David Pro (talk) 16:30, 15 January 2009 (UTC) David Pro (talk) 16:30, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete WP:HAMMER-violating titles seem unlikely search terms. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 19:38, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete, per hammer. Tavix (talk) 02:44, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete both as neither helpful nor having a meaningful edit history.--Tikiwont (talk) 09:45, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Quincey Harker → Dracula[edit]
There isn't a character named Quincey Harker. David Pro (talk) 13:08, 15 January 2009 (UTC) David Pro (talk) 13:08, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- There is a character named Quincey Harker in Bloodline (2005 novel) which refers to Stoker's novel. Retarget there.--Tikiwont (talk) 09:41, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Enrique (2001 album) → Enrique (album)[edit]
This album was released in 1999, so only we need the redir Enrique (1999 album). David Pro (talk) 12:43, 15 January 2009 (UTC) David Pro (talk) 12:43, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- would it be adequate to retarget to Escape (Enrique Iglesias album), which was released on 2001? --Enric Naval (talk) 08:26, 16 January 2009 (UTC) delete as confusing/misleading, per B.Wind's comment --Enric Naval (talk) 10:36, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as both comments above show the confusion that involves this redirect. Enrique was indeed an album released in 1999, while Escape was released in 2001. The name is also improperly disambiguated (the year should be used only if there were multiple Enrique albums by the same artists and the year would be the only way to distiguish it from the others). This "disambiguation" make this a harmful redirect. Retargeting to Escape (Enrique Iglesias album) is clearly not an option as it is clearly a different LP/CD/etc. B.Wind (talk) 23:21, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Comment. Since there are too many self-titled albums by a artist (example: Ricky Martin (1991 album) and Ricky Martin (1999 album)) there are people that can't distinguish in which year was released a self-titled album. David Pro (talk) 13:35, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Mariah Carey's forthcoming studio album → E=MC² (Mariah Carey album)[edit]
Delete E=MC² is no longer a forthcoming album and the target of the redirect will be ever changing. Unneeded. Wolfer68 (talk) 01:49, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as stated, also, most pages this would redirect to would be Hammered and fail Crystal Ball policy. Usrnme h8er (talk) 09:56, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete long name is long, and it's not used much either [1](6 non-repeated results at google) --Enric Naval (talk) 08:31, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
