Queen: The Story of an American Family (disambiguation)Queen: The Story of an American Family[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete. Tikiwont (talk) 10:27, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect should be deleted, as the disambiguation in the the title isn't helpful when there's only one topic. Killiondude (talk) 22:30, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as the other "topic" of the disambiguation I hit up below. Copying off of mine? Eh, at least you paraphrased.... Tavix (talk) 00:49, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete only one topic. Versus22 talk 08:22, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete this used to be a dab page, but there is only one thing with this name; the film has a different title. Use a {{distinguish}} dabhat or similar if confusion is likely. --Rogerb67 (talk) 22:56, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alex Haley's Queen (disambiguation)Alex Haley's Queen[edit]

The result of the discussion was As there isn't consensus to delete, revert to dab page. Tikiwont (talk) 10:41, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unneeded redirect, as the (disambiguation) isn't helpful when there is only one topic. Tavix (talk) 22:20, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Prove to me that both of them are known as "Alex Haley's Queen". Tavix (talk) 04:31, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The second is obvious; the first appears to be supported by 1980 Google hits for "Alex Haley's Queen the Story" with quotes - most of them being inventory listings such as for amazon.com, museum.tv, bookfinder.com, alibris.com... but there also are a few reliable sources that show the phrase "Alex Haley's Queen: The Story of an American Family", such as [2], [3], [4], [5], and [6]. B.Wind (talk) 05:35, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • In light of the above, revert to dab page per Rumping... and I was the one who made the redirect in the first place. B.Wind (talk) 06:11, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. Versus22 talk 08:21, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Revert to dab this term does appear ambiguous so disambiguation seems reasonable. --Rogerb67 (talk) 22:52, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Test call generatorTest Call Generator[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete and reverse the move. Tikiwont (talk) 10:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Under most other circumstances, I would place a {{db-move}} tag on the redirect, but Islamomt is intentionally moving the articles for some reason, and thus the deletion of the redirect would not be non-controversial. As far as I can tell, the subject names are not proper nouns, and thus should be in lowercase per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization), but Islamomt is moving various articles so that all the words are capitalized. I'd like to revert the move for this page, but a subsequent edit on the redirect is preventing me from doing so. Dancter (talk) 13:24, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reverse redirect and protect, at least temporarily, as WP:NAME is clear here - lower case is the preferred naming convention. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 22:19, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reverse redirect per the number guy. Tavix (talk) 22:22, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move back over redirect per WP:CAPS. Ohconfucius (talk) 16:13, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reverse redirect and protect per above. All we need now is an admin to pull the trigger here... B.Wind (talk) 06:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reverse redirect title should be lower case per WP:CAPS and as above. --Rogerb67 (talk) 22:40, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I probably should've thought to take this Wikipedia:Requested moves, instead. It's been a while since I've done this. Dancter (talk) 19:31, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
