This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 20, 2009
Sparky (Atomic Betty) → List of characters in Atomic Betty#Sparky[edit]
Proposing this redirect be deleted. It was originally created as a redirect before being expanded into a stub article by a known vandal in contravention of a ban. As an article, it was the subject of an AfD and then returned to being a redirect. The only significant editing was by the aforementioned sockpuppet. The redirect's name is an unlikely search term, no articles link to it and there is a disambiguation page for Sparky which includes the Atomic Betty character. - Oppose; The name of a character in significant fiction is always a good search term. That it was improperly expanded, is no reason to remove it. DGG (talk) 23:48, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that the name of the character is a good search term, but, as I said, there's a disambiguation page for Sparky that includes this particular one. This redirect is, really, redundant, since no one is likely to use the full name of the redirect as a search term or, if they try something similar, they'll end up either at the disambig page or the main article. --BlueSquadronRaven 03:21, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- keep as Sparky has so many uses that a user would assume that any article would need a disabiguation in the title, and this would be the logical one. PaulJones (talk) 19:05, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Keep per PaulJones. — This, that, and the other [talk] 07:36, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia:!Most wanted articles → Wikipedia:Most wanted articles[edit]
Implausible redirect with no useful inbound links. Stifle (talk) 12:48, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete --Dweller (talk) 12:50, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Exclamation marks are often used to promote something in sort order (see Special:ListUsers). Why this is wanted here is questionable. — This, that, and the other [talk] 07:38, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Eurofag → Metrosexual[edit]
Term may not be notable, redirects to an article that doesn't mention it and even urban dictionary, that splendid non RS, shows Metrosexual as being just one of several possible definitions. Dweller (talk) 12:15, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete At best, the term is inaccurate, at worst, derogatory. --BlueSquadronRaven 21:14, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete it would more likely mean Eurotrash (term) than metrosexual. 76.66.196.218 (talk) 04:37, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Speedy delete as attack page (WP:CSD#G10). Robofish (talk) 03:30, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Morrison-Sounsview Avenues (New York Subway) → Morrison Avenue–Soundview (IRT Pelham Line)[edit]
- Morrison Avenue-Sound View Avenue (IRT Pelham Line station) → Morrison Avenue–Soundview (IRT Pelham Line)
Delete all The first 6 redirects are typos (misspelling of Soundview or no space between the end of "Avenues" and the first parenthesis). The remaining are extraneous redirects that clutter up search results ("station" is added to the end). However, these last 3 redirects may have been part of a previous naming convention, I am unsure of that. Tinlinkin (talk) 07:01, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete all per nom as xe summed it up nicely. Tavix | Talk 23:47, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Question Is there a correctly spelled redirect that includes the "(6 Line)" description in it? ----DanTD (talk) 03:28, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- There is Morrison-Soundview Avenues (6 Line). And I did not nominate Morrison Av–Soundview (IRT Pelham Line) because abbreviations used by the MTA should be acceptable redirects. Tinlinkin (talk) 00:35, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
List of clubs in India → List of football clubs in India[edit]
Broad redirect; not all clubs in India are football related. Tavix | Talk 02:09, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.PASKAU → Royal Malaysian Air Force PASKAU[edit]
The target article has the wrong title right now (the official and most common name of that military unit is PASKAU. The "Royal Malaysian Airforce"-prefix has no reasoning here). Hence I wanted to move it there. But a look into the page history of PASKAU revealed that until January 5, 2008 the article was actually found under this title. Then it was (suddenly and without prior discussion) moved to it's current title Royal Malaysian Air Force PASKAU. Unfortunately User:Rizuan, who did this, did not actually move the page, but simply copypasted the source text and then turned the "old" article into a redirect. Thus, the whole page history up to January 5, 2008 can be found on that redirect page that I now want to turn back into the main article page. That's why I did not want to outright speedy delete the redirect page, which would be the usual procedure when a redirect page blocks a move. Any suggestions what to do with this page? The article is of bad quality anyway, but the first thing to do should be to move it to the correct place. DavidDCM (talk) 18:56, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
