Wikipedia:TUMBLEWEEDWikipedia:Silence and consensus[edit]

The result of the debate was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 13:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect makes no sense and just creates potential for confusion. Actually, the redirect is contrary to the obscure meaning. Tumbleweed refers to an awkward silence. An awkward silence does not imply consent. SmokeyJoe (talk) 14:30, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete This redirect causes more confusion than clarity. It seems to have been a last grasp to find a purpose for an otherwise rejected concept. --Kevin Murray (talk) 01:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. "Tumbleweed" is not a word in the target essay; nor is there anything even remotely connected to it. B.Wind (talk) 02:27, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete When I first looked at the redirect, I was unsure as to its relation to the target page → it's a confusing redirect. Midorihana~いいですね? はい! 05:28, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Casey AldridgeJamie Lynn Spears[edit]

The result of the debate was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 13:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

because the page that it redirects to does not contain any information about Casey Aldridge. This page should therefore not redirect to it, but rather not exist until someone's written information about Aldridge. Epiovesan (talk) 13:29, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The target page does contain about a paragraph of information about Mr. Aldridge (the father of Spears' unborn child), starting with "Jamie has stated that the father of her unborn child was Casey Aldridge, 19, her longtime boyfriend whom she met at church.". You might want to read the page again. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:01, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per NawlinWiki. Mr. Aldridge is unlikely to be notable for being other than the father of Spears' unborn child; so an expanded, stand-alone article about him is not an option at this time. B.Wind (talk) 02:23, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per NawlinWiki and B.Wind. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 17:20, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
