January 23[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion on January 23, 2008
Amy McCarthy → Jenny McCarthy[edit]
They are sisters, but since they are not the same person, a redirect from one to the other is confusing. Amy has been voted not-notable, but Jenny's article doesn't say much about her. Or ,in the words of a recent RFD, "The person that it's being redirected to is not the same person, and the person in question fails Wikipedia:N." Mdmcginn (talk) 13:42, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Weak Keep, since redirecting family members to a notable relative is a common practice. If an article can be made out of it, though, why not? I'd like to point out that the AFD for this did not close with a redirect, like some people in the history imply. --UsaSatsui (talk) 19:11, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. The redirect came into existence because she was not notable enough to merit for her own article. The AFD mentioned above closed with a delete for the article. Since some people thought she deserved one, it needs this redirect. Only a slight majority (4 out of 7) voted to delete, not an overwhelming consensus. Wryspy (talk) 19:16, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Gail Colins (disambiguation) → Gail Colins[edit]
Misspelled by redirect's creator, who is the same AnnaKucsma that nominated this page — AnnaKucsma Speak! 00:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.Desiree Cramer → Justine Ezarik[edit]
The person that it's being redirected to is not the same person, and the person in question fails Wikipedia:N. --wL<speak·check> 04:26, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.Jesus: the Jewish POV → Jesus[edit]
Redirect is blatantly POV, unlikely to be searched. This redirect was formerly an article that was deleted as a POV content fork, and then was redirected to the Jesus article. Redirect implies that article is not NPOV and also could be construed as anti-Semitic. EJF (talk) 22:44, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep. Content from the page was merged into the target article after this VfD discussion. The redirect preserves the record of contribution history (a requirement of GFDL). Redirects are not an endorsement of any type and do not construe anything about the target article. Rossami (talk) 04:55, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete (As follows, to meet GFDL; Move to Talk:Jesus/the Jewish POV and delete resulting redirect.) — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 00:46, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete and move history out of mainspace per Arthur Rubin. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 19:00, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Ayatollah Robertson → Pat Robertson[edit]
An attack redirect, which violates BLP, as this phrase is not used by multiple reliable sources EJF (talk) 22:54, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Possibly a speedy as violates WP:ATP, but wanted to discuss here. EJF (talk) 23:03, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy-delete as a long-overlooked attack page. Rossami (talk) 04:56, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete appears to be a nonsensical redirect.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 13:01, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. I think i could speedy deleted as well. -- Magioladitis (talk) 01:07, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Evil Uncle Chuckles → Pat Robertson[edit]
An attack redirect. The only other edit by this user at this time was to replace the Pat Robertson page with 'Evil Uncle Chuckles'. As far as I know this violates BLP; has not been used or quoted by reliable sources. EJF (talk) 22:58, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Possibly a speedy as violates WP:ATP but wanted to discuss here. EJF (talk) 23:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- This was previously speedy-deleted. It should be again speedy-deleted as an attack page. Rossami (talk) 04:57, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete per db-repost. -- Magioladitis (talk) 01:08, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
