January 11[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion on January 11, 2008
Palatable → Toxin[edit]
Also Palatability → Toxin and Unpalatable → Toxin Although speedy deletion does not appear to apply to these three redirects, the redirects don't make a great deal of sense either, because food does not need to be toxic to be unpalatable. Either we should find better targets for these redirects or create a new article on Palatability or just delete them. Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:25, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- I agree that these redirect are incorrect. None of them have any useful history either. I do not believe that you could ever write an article on Palatability that would ever be more than a mere definition.
You could soft-redirect them to Wiktionary but deletion is probably better.Rossami (talk) 05:31, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
"This is Living" → PlayStation 3[edit]
Wikipedia is not Wikiquote. The redirect has quotes. Let's delete it Magioladitis (talk) 01:15, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete per nom, unlikely search term.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 17:53, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Hamilton Predators → Nashville Predators[edit]
The Nashville Predators are not the Hamilton Predators. They will not be the Hamilton Predators. At some point in the summer of 2007, the owner of BlackBerry attempted to purchase the team and move it to Hamilton. It never materialized. No intelligent person would search for "Hamilton Predators" when looking for the Nashville Predators. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smashville (talk • contribs) 00:20, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep An intelligent person might search "Hamilton Predators" to look for information about the proposed move, which is documented in a large section in the Nashville Predators article. –Pomte 01:06, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- The move was never proposed. It was a rumor. The team was never even sold to the guy who it was rumored had the intention of moving the team. --SmashvilleBONK! 18:13, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- I stand corrected. –Pomte 05:50, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

- Keep-I disagree with the nom's statement that no "intelligent person" (which, as a side note, is a whole can of worms by itself) would ever search for this. Probably not many, granted, but I'd not call it impossible. Redirects are cheap enough that the potential value, however low, is enough to keep this one.--Fyre2387 (talk • contribs) 15:42, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Comment...now I'm not accusing the creator of bad faith, but I should also add that a lot of message board trolling was done referring to the Nashville Predators as the Hamilton Predators. It's kind of inflammatory. --SmashvilleBONK! 20:44, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Fapfapfap → Masturbation[edit]
"Fap" is a slang dicdef not even in Wiktionary. Why we need it repeated three times as a redirect I don't know.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 17:53, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - "Fapfapfap" is sometimes used as an alternative to "fap", to signify vigorous or really fast masturbation, similar as how "lololol" (which redirects to LOL) is used to mean intense LOLs. Floaterfluss (talk) (contribs) 19:05, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - Not only do I highly doubt that anyone is going to search Wikipedia for Fapfapfap intending to find Masturbation, but Floaterfluss brought up the point about lololol which doesn't link to any articles, and I also find highly doubtful people will search Wikipedia for intending to find LOL since, from my experience, people tend to be lazy, and if they wanted to, they'd just type in "lol" or "LOL" into Wikipedia's search box and be taken to the same place. For this reason, I do not believe we need a redirect on "fapfapfap", when people will just be lazy and type "fap" and be taken to FAP, where at the bottom there's a soft redirect to masturbation with a good description of how it relates to masturbation.--十八 00:56, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - it got used so much that it was put on GameFAQ's blacklist of words. (of which the words mast(u|e)rbat(er|ion) were already there). Will (talk) 23:43, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep, considering Will and Floaterfluss's statements. -- Ned Scott 04:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. Fap already has the link to masturbation in the disambiguation page. This one is a very unlikely search term. --M4gnum0n (talk) 08:56, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete, per nom. --Babedacus (talk) 15:19, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
