December 30[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on December 30, 2008

Poo juicePoop[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete.Tikiwont (talk) 10:39, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Created by a long term user so giving the benefit of the doubt as to the reason for its creation (and it's been up for almost two years) but there comes a limit… I see no possible use for this one as either a search term or link target.  – iridescent 17:31, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I tried to determine, from that user's contribution list, the context under which he/she created that redirect, but I came up emptyhanded. There is no deletion log for that title, and it was that user's only contribution of the day, in a period of otherwise extensive activity. Probably heard that term on the street or something like that. But since the purpose and relevance of the redirect is still not clear, I say Delete. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:44, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • In an unrelated matter, it would be good to browse the "what links here" pages for articles on insults. You could find edits like this which previously went undetected. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:52, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • Funnily enough, the thought had occurred to me… I really don't hope you think I was looking up redirects to Bitch, Poop and Shit just for the fun of it! – iridescent 17:54, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as an unlikely search term and an equally unlikely target. RichardΩ612 Ɣ ɸ 12:04, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ass to assRequiem for a Dream[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete.Tikiwont (talk) 10:41, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Term does not appear in article since a discussion about a particular scene of the film was removed (eight to nine months ago); scene in question is not referred to by this name (or variant) in any reliable source; phrase has much more prominent usage in other areas, according to Google search. ShitstainShit[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy deleted by User:David Eppstein (CSD G3).

Nobody is ever going to search on this; nobody links to it and I can't imagine anyone ever will.  – iridescent 16:54, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

EliteoneBitch[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete. --Allen3 talk 22:58, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Totally baffling. If this hadn't been up for two years without anyone raising an objection, I'd have R3'd it without blinking. Is there any good reason for this redirect to exist that has somehow passed me by?  – iridescent 16:48, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy delete. In addition to being implausible as a search item, it was its creator's only contribution ever in Wikipedia. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:16, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. American Eagle (talk) 01:15, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ἐνέργεια (disambiguation)Energy (disambiguation)[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete. --Allen3 talk 22:56, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

VERY obscure reference, especially in English Wikipedia. Not to mention that Ἐνέργεια by itself already has its own redirect. Mikaey (talk) 14:58, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Ἐνέργεια may be the root of the word energy, but the actual meaning is quite a bit different. As already stated, Ἐνέργεια already points to energeia (and it could just as easily have pointed to Aristotle if the term were mentioned in that article). Not only is disambiguation unnecessary, there is none here, and this redirect is harmful as it can be confusing. B.Wind (talk) 15:25, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • keep, Energy (disambiguation) also covers energeia. If you disagree, create Energeia (disambiguation) and have Ἐνέργεια (disambiguation) point there. I find that more often than not the time invested in creating a deletion discussion would have been sufficient to resolve the problem. --dab (𒁳) 17:00, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Except that suggestion would create a second unnecessary redirect as it, like the nominated one, is not disambiguating anything. Of course, the editor who created the redirect in question in the first place would have taken even less time than suggested above by tagging it with {{db-author}} for speedy deletion, and that would have eliminated all problems caused by the redirect's creation. B.Wind (talk) 17:31, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I can't see the need of a redirect where the two words that make up the redirect title are not even in the same alphabet. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:58, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the hatnote already indicates where you should go, nothing links to this redirect, and it's not ASCII, so is highly unlikely to be typed out (Greek + latin "disambiguation"?) 76.66.198.171 (talk) 14:04, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete unlikely search target. Tavix (talk) 23:38, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete not needed: clue 1: no page with "(disambiguation)" in the title should be a redirect; clue 2: we should not have untranslated article titles for common nouns like: Ἐνέργεια redirects to Energeia - or we'll have endless non-English redirects for everything. Sarai HowardSarai[edit]

The result of the discussion was Retargeted to Sarai (rapper) -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 03:35, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rather pointless redirect to a disambiguation page, none of whose entries seem to be relevant.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 03:28, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Table Mountain (Mount Brewer)Table Mountain (Tulare County, California)[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedily deleted by User:Jimfbleak CSD G6, non-admin close B.Wind (talk) 06:10, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{db-g6}} Page was made a redirect when the article was move to Table Mountain (Tulare County, California). It can no longer be usefull,--DRoll (talk) 01:06, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Table Mountain (Tulare County, California) and Mount Brewer are not the same. This redirect makes no sence. I think at one time there was confusion among editors at to weither they were the same or not. I reality there is no such confusion. DRoll (talk) 02:35, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
