December 28[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on December 28, 2008
WikiProject:The Legend of Zelda CNRs[edit]
- Wikipedia:WikiProject The Legend of Zelda series/Template:Zelda → Template:The Legend of Zelda
- Wikipedia:WikiProject The Legend of Zelda series/Template:Zelda characters → Template:The Legend of Zelda
- Wikipedia:WikiProject The Legend of Zelda series/Template:Zelda games → Template:The Legend of Zelda
All three are CNRs of a WikiProject which is in the progress of being dismantled and merged into Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo. All three redirects are unlikely search terms with negligible edit histories. Request deletion of all three. MuZemike (talk) 19:48, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Support deletion. --Izno (talk) 21:19, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Delete: There seems to be no reason to keep a redirect in WikiProject space to template space. They are not likely search terms and because they are much longer than the actual template names, they do not make good shortcuts. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:24, 29 December 2008 (UTC))
- Delete—looks like these are the product of a move and revert. They should have been deleted at that time. Pagrashtak 17:34, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

All redirects created and/or edited into redirects by the same User:NEMT. Admin User:Sandstein declined a speedy db-r3 on the grounds that these were not recently created hence it is listed here. I think the first batch speak for themselves, seems to be a case of simple-minded vandalism. The last 4 I'm not too sure about, seem to be redirects from quotations. Snow delete the first batch as vandalism and/or Reason 4. "redirect makes no sense". Weak delete the last 4 on the basis that they were created by the same user and point to a pattern of vandalism/creation of useless redirects. Zunaid 17:52, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Tonight we dine in hell, as I can see that being a legitimate search term. The others, I've no opinion on. --Izno (talk) 21:21, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Delete most: Most of these look like random and goofy wordings of the target article titles. I doubt they would be likely search terms. However, thunder lizard is the latin translation for brontosaurus, which is the previous name of Apatosaurus; that one should be kept as it is a related name and likely search term. I'm neutral on Nappy headed hos because the phrase was so central to a controversy. It's edit history isn't worth keeping though; just redirects and tagging. The other phrases from Johnny Quest and 300 seem like stretches to me. I'd say weak delete on them. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:40, 29 December 2008 (UTC))
- Keep Thunder lizard as a concept related to Apatosaurus, as explained above. Also keep Nappy headed hos, Sim sim salabim, and Tonight we dine in hell as quotes realted to the target that represent reasonable search terms. Delete the others; they don't seem useful. — Gavia immer (talk) 15:47, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep thunder lizard (latin translation of brontosaurus), webmeister (widely-used synonym for "webmaster"), and Nappy headed hos (along with the similar Nappy-headed hos and Nappy-headed ho, appropriate redirect of an expression that triggered a major controversy involving Don Imus - NPOV does not apply to redirects); conditional keep Bling bang and Tonight we dine in hell once the terms are actually mentioned in the target articles as they are widely cited in critical reviews of the movies in question; delete the rest as obscure, trivial, or nonsensical (note that Sim sim salabim is not mentioned in the target and is too trivial to be included). Eleanor Abbot → Candy Land[edit]
The creator of the game should not automatically redirect to the game itself; someone might want to write an article about her Jeff (talk) 03:42, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
