December 11[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on December 11, 2008

Mitsubish Lancer/Carisma GTMitsubishi Lancer Evolution[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 17:22, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Annoying typo that always shows as first entry (before "Mitsubishi")in the suggestions dropdown list. There's no notable history of that page as well. 91.122.50.119 (talk) 23:41, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete- normally redirects for mis-spellings are OK. But this one is fairly unlikely and the business with the dropdown box makes navigating harder rather than easier. Reyk YO! 00:25, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete doesn't seem too likely. – Alex43223 T | C | E 09:03, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - violates WP:NAME by having the appearance of a subpage as well. B.Wind (talk) 07:07, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Parkour TutorialsParkour[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 17:22, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A redirect that was originally a tutorial, exactly as suggested by the title. Since Wikipedia doesn't do tutorials, it was overwritten with a redirect - but there's no tutorial at the target, either, because Wikipedia doesn't do tutorials. Basically, it should have been deleted before, and should be deleted now as implausible redirect that doesn't match the target. Gavia immer (talk) 22:16, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep- Yes, tutorials are outside the scope of Wikipedia. But there's no harm and some good in giving people the related information that we can provide. Reyk YO! 23:00, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - the word "tutorial" is nowhere to be found in the article. Since there is nothing about tutorials in the article (and any other use of the word "tutorial" in a article or redirect title would not be an approprate use of the word (per WP:NAME), the redirect should be deleted as an implausible search item. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 18:51, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - redirect is very misleading. There is no mention of any tutorial or "Parkour Tutorials" in the article at all. B.Wind (talk) 07:10, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Can we dig up the removed tutorial info, transwiki it to Wikibooks, and then soft redirect the page? --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 03:38, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Ball Z (film)Dragonball (film)[edit]

The result of the discussion was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 17:24, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible redirect created along with some 30-40 others Dragonball (film). This is not a plausible redirect. Nor are: Dragonball Z (Film) (capitalized F), Dragonball film, Dragonball(film) (missing space), and Live Action Dragon Ball Z movie. All were declined speedy without explanation when the others were all deleted. None of these are plausible and redirects should be created just to represent every possible search term. All should be deleted. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 02:57, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep all mentioned. Despite the nominator's assertion, these seem like plausible redirects to me. Mind you, Dragonball(film) is a weak keep at best, but I still say keep it. Gavia immer (talk) 15:38, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep- some are a little unusual, but plausible, and redirects are cheap and useful. Reyk YO! 22:52, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

3rrWikipedia:Three-revert rule[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted due to no objections. Jerry delusional ¤ kangaroo 02:24, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The main space is not for Wikipedia-related policies. Wikipedia policies, including redirects to them, should stay in the "WP:" or "Wikipedia:" namespace. "WP:3rr" is not much more to type than "3rr". We should not confuse articles with Wikipedia-related policies. -- IRP 02:23, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of Avatar: The Last Airbender creaturesAvatar: The Last Airbender[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete and "salt". This redirect has no good target, therefore it can not be kept. Ruslik (talk) 10:26, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Said list doens't exist in the target article (and shouldn't). Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 02:14, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, redirects are cheap, and this one prevents repeated well-meaning recreation of a deleted article that had subsequently been recreated via copy and paste. fish&karate 08:51, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. There's no list at the target, so this is wrong. Gavia immer (talk) 15:39, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Refine target to Avatar:The Last Airbender#Characters. Deletion of the redirect would actually prompt a contentious recreation of a previously-deleted article. 147.70.242.54 (talk) 16:11, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Delete- highly implausible search term. If deleting it would prompt a recreation of a deleted article, we can always salt it. Reyk YO! 04:44, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Pass the salt, please... and delete it. Target has a list of characters which might not be called a list of "creatures," so this is a misleading redirect. By the history, this appears to me a likely recreation target; so salting should be considered very strongly here. B.Wind (talk) 07:15, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, and WP:SALT if repeatedly recreated - see arguments below. Terraxos (talk) 16:41, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep but change to Avatar:The Last Airbender#Characters, following Fish & karate's logic, DGG (talk) 00:06, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
