April 21[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 21, 2008
Phil Trubey → Fascism[edit]
Apparently malicious redirect of businessman to ideology Skomorokh 23:01, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDAEORVM → Jesus[edit]
- - Lower case form of the above
Very unlikely search term [the full Latin name for Jesus]. No links, bot created redirs. RichardΩ612 19:36, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Strong Keep Why would you want to delete the name of the Lord Jesus Christ? JemmaBrossel (talk) 19:42, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Re-redir This redirect was bot-created because of an existing redir at IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDÆORVM (note the AE ligature)... but that points to INRI. Strange, that. Anyway, reredir to INRI, for (I hope) obvious reasons. -- Eugène van der Pijll (talk) 20:28, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. The link with ligature pointed at Jesus, was deleted; and re-created to point at INRI. Eugène van der Pijll (talk) 20:31, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Yer mam → Chav[edit]
I previously tagged this for SD per R3, but it was declined by User:J Milburn on the grounds that it could be a potential search term. Without wanting to seem militant, I really do not see the connection between 'Yer mam' and chavs, so I thought I'd list it here to see what others thought. RichardΩ612 16:41, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Redirect to mother insult — a more realistic target page. EJF (talk) 18:50, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Delete I could see "your mom" redirect, but such a spelling doesn't seem like a likely search term. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 01:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Retarget to mother insult as a plausible search term. Some people type 'your' that way and some people type 'mom'/'mum' that way.–Pomte 02:33, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Bambis → Mother[edit]
'Bambi's Mother'... very cute but pointless. Nonsense redirect. RichardΩ612 16:31, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.Self-pwn → Suicide[edit]
Unlikely search terms, no links in articles. Seem to have been created for/based on a reply on the creator's talk page. RichardΩ612 16:17, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Term coined by redirect's originator. Speedy delete as nonsense. B.Wind (talk) 00:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Delete Not useful as a search term. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 01:02, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Wikiproject physics → Wikipedia:WikiProject Physics[edit]
Unnecessary XNR. 68.248.228.138 (talk) 08:08, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - Confusing redirect from mainspace to elsewhere. WikiProject Physics is not a notable phenomenon :D. Also redundant to redirects like WP:PHYSICS, WP:PHYS, etc. Happy‑melon 10:30, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Mary Orr → All About Eve[edit]
I clicked on the link to Mary Orr to find more about her after seeing the mention in the All About Eve article; needless to say, I was less than enlightened. --Tothebarricades (talk) 03:42, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Note. Reason cited is not a grounds for deleting a redirect. If All About Eve is Mary Orr's sole source of notability, removing the link to the redirect would be the appropriate action. On the other hand, a useful stub article could be written based on the following links found via Yahoo! search: New York Times obituary WOSU article about Mary Orr Person Detail: Mary Orr - New York State Literary Tree. Keep to hold place for stub (or longer) article. B.Wind (talk) 04:48, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep; as said above, the fact that the target is linking to its own redirect means it needs unlinked; not the redirect deleted. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 01:04, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Close discussion - new Mary Orr stub article has been written. It needs work, but you must agree it's better than simply deleting the redirect. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 01:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
