ReqphotoTemplate:Reqphoto[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. WoohookittyWoohoo! 10:45, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An unnecessary cross-namespace redirect. It is not used (except for a link from one talk page), and has no significant history. GracenotesT § 22:16, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. --- RockMFR 02:26, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - cross space redirect. What happens when the article on "reqphoto" (whatever that may turn out to be, if anything) needs to be written? -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 22:41, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Anyone can create an article at Reqphoto. If redirected as a redirect to Template:Reqphoto, it can be speedily deleted by WP:CSD#G4, but that criterion doesn't apply if an article is put in its place. GracenotesT § 01:01, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Women's PrisonVan Lear Rose[edit]

The result of the debate was Disambig. A quick look at what links here shows the only links for this term are for two movies. This should be a disambig, at a minimum, for the song & movies. If someone wants to add individual women's prisons (there are several articles in addition to the Indiana one), feel free. -- JLaTondre 18:48, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect makes no apparent sense 71.164.97.156 19:52, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Read the article more carefully. Women's Prison is a song on the Van Lear Rose album (Track # 9. Seeing as there's no other plausible alternative (no article on female penitentiary, no article on the song, the redirect has both words start with capital letters), the best alternative is the current redirect. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 20:50, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Covert into dab page. Typing "Women's prison" will also bring you there and while the connection with the album exists, it might surprise many people to get bounced to it. On the other hand there are a few articles like Indiana Women's Prison. Listing them as well, and also some 'See also' links might stretch the concept of a disambiguation page, but be more useful that the current redirect.--Tikiwont 12:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nick HumbyManchester United F.C.[edit]

The result of the debate was Deleted. Person is not mentioned at target so a redirect is inappropriate. -- JLaTondre 11:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The subject of the redirect page, Nick Humby, is no longer employed by Manchester United (the target). PeeJay 18:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. The connection to the target appears to be the subject's main claim to fame. Until the subject is deemed notable enough per WP:BIO to have a separate article, this seems appropriate. --Aarktica 18:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Person is not mentioned at target. There may be others of equal notability with the same name and no connection to the club so it could well cause confusion. WjBscribe 22:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

William Hill & Sons (String instrument makers)W.E. Hill & Sons[edit]

The result of the debate was keep. WjBscribe 22:19, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

poorly named, incorrect mos formatting, and not likely to be ever used emerson7 | Talk 00:43, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. This redirect was created as the result of a relatively recent and good-faith pagemove. Please see the "avoid deleting if" #1 above. The act of renaming is useful page history. None of the "delete if" criteria are met. In this particular case, a review of the edit history shows that not all of the original editors have yet returned to this page at the new destination. Rossami (talk) 06:04, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: utterly harmless, and the history, as Rossami points out, is potentially mildly valuable to anyone still unaware of the renaming. (Note: this potentially includes more people than just those who have actually edited the article.) Redirects are cheap. Xtifr tälk 09:11, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:AoETemplate:Age of Empires series[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 22:17, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template redirect without any conceivable use. --MZMcBride 04:49, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - "AoE" is a common abbreviation for Age of Empires. - PeeJay 20:10, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment While true, this template redirect has existed since Dec. 2005 and has no transclusions and no incoming links other than the ones from it being listed here. Also, AOE can mean several things, some of which are probably more notable than this. --MZMcBride 22:03, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • Delete - Agreed. - PeeJay 00:55, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template redirect without any conceivable use. --MZMcBride 04:51, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete if there's no incoming links. While redirects are cheap, template redirects are, in general, the most useless of all redirects, as they're not plausible search targets and in most cases, shouldn't be linked. Xtifr tälk 09:17, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
