Wikipedia ParodyUncyclopedia[edit]

The result of the debate was Re-targeted to Wikipedia in culture. -- JLaTondre 13:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not really needed and pretty POV, as there are probably other Wikipedia parodies on here. Also, I'm pretty sure a similar page got deleted before. --AAA! (AAAA) 00:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. The page was Wikipedia parody, which was originally redirecting to Uncyclopedia, and was redirected to Parody of Wikipedia (see RfD discussion). However, the "Parody of Wikipedia" page was deleted for lack of context, and then "Wikipedia parody" was deleted under WP:CSD#R1, which means this nomination should not be based on the other page's deletion. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 01:11, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, one might search for this and find it useful. Marlith T/C 03:58, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom and the suggestion this redirect gives that Uncyclopedia might be the "official" parody. JuJube 04:26, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I know where this is going. At the end we are gonna have a disambiguation page, no I'll make sure it's not happening. Last time we did it, it got removed since there were too many external links. If you want me to I could change it to Wikipedia in culture. But we are not making it into a disambiguation page again, not after what happened last time. TheBlazikenMaster 13:25, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note There was an RFD for Parody of Wikipedia. I closed that as "create stub/disambiguate", but that decision was overriden by Mr. Gustafson, who deleted it (actually, I think he made the right decision) see deletion log. This redirect should have a similar fate, I think. Shalom (HelloPeace) 00:26, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Well, would it be ok if I changed the redirect to Wikipedia in culture? And I agree that the disambiguation was unneeded. I apologize that I caused problem by the remaking, but I just had feelings that the results weren't valid. TheBlazikenMaster 00:39, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - If this redirect doesn't get deleted, I'd support retargeting it to Wikipedia in culture. --AAA! (AAAA) 01:33, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Wikipedia in culture. It is a plausible search term, but as JuJube said we shouldn't highlight one particular parody; and consensus seems to be against a disambig page listing various parodies, leaving this as the best alternative. Terraxos 17:31, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rogue adminWikipedia:Rouge admin[edit]

The result of the debate was Deleted. -- JLaTondre 13:55, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Potentially harmful cross-namespace redirect. While WP:ROUGE is a humorous page and probably what anyone who enters this search term is looking for, this redirect could potentially be used for personal attacks, and as such should be deleted. Terraxos 01:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. XNR was created in April 2007, it's only edit was its creation. No move history logs or incoming links. A quick search reveals uses outside Wikipedia, which means the redirect occupies a page for plausible future articles. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 23:57, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete (better) or retarget to BOFH (less desirable, it is too generic). Pavel Vozenilek 00:09, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Cross namespace Marlith T/C 03:58, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Per Mtmendelez, the title could be used for an article at some point; in any case, it has uses outside of Wikipedia. GlassCobra 06:07, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Armada (comics)Valiant Comics[edit]

The result of the debate was Kept. -- JLaTondre 13:56, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Armada was an unsourced article that was deleted for no assertion of notability. The same user that created the article then recreated the page simply as a redirect, but from my own research, they were part of Acclaim Comics, and were very small and obscure, publishing about 15 Magic: The Gathering related comics in a two-year period before disappearing. Therefore, I don't see this being a useful redirect, as there is almost no information on Armada in the main Valiant article. MSJapan 18:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep so long as it is mentioned at the target. There's only half a paragraph there, but why make it difficult to find that half paragraph? Gavia immer (talk) 14:04, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
