Our Lady Of Mount CarmelOur Lady of Mount Carmel parish[edit]

The result of the debate was speedy redirected to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. --- RockMFR 01:47, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page needs to be deleted, as I made it a redirect page to Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish earlier today. Keeping the page makes my redirect fruitless. Thanks. Carl.bunderson 23:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References in popular cultureReferences to Blue Velvet in popular culture[edit]

The result of the debate was speedy delete. References in popular culture was somebody's mistake. -- RHaworth 18:17, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Initially created as a clone of the article, I adjusted it to be a redirect. The target is well-named, the redirect page is ambiguous but not a disambig page nor a reasonable search topic to find the target page. So delete. DMacks 17:34, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of World Hockey League seasonsList of WHL seasons[edit]

The result of the debate was retarget to List of WHA seasons. WjBscribe 19:23, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:Koavf moved List of WHL seasons to an incorrect title as part of his mass page move campaign that led to him being blocked for a week. The W, in this case, stands for the Western Hockey League. There is no World Hockey League. I requested a speedy deletion, but another editor removed it saying it was a plausable search term. While it is plausable someone would search for the List of World Hockey League seasons, it is not factual to direct a user to a list of Western Hockey League seasons. Delete Resolute 13:25, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom as a wrong redirect, since there is no World Hockey League, but rename the List of WHL seasons to List of Western Hockey League seasons. Names of sports leagues that appear in our article titles are normally spelled out in full. EdJohnston 20:11, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment Using the common, abbreviated, name is the de facto standard across all of WP:HOCKEY, as well as several other sporting wikiprojects. For the sake of consistency, such a rename proposal would involve thousands of articles, and thus would require a much larger discussion than is appropriate at RfD. Resolute 19:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to List of WHA seasons. WHA is the initialism for World Hockey Association. It may not be a likely search term, but should prevent this problem from cropping up (for this specific title) again. BigNate37(T) 21:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect per Nate. Phil Sandifer 17:50, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Car adjustedRacing setup[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 19:21, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect should never have been created. I think whoever made it did so because they did not understand how to create a piped link. The only page that linked to the redirect page was Car handling, which contained this text:- It is usually most desirable to have the car adjusted for neutral steer (I have now made it a piped link to the Racing setup article). Delete SheffieldSteel 19:22, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nomination. Seems like an accidental redirect. EdJohnston 21:53, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CNTM 9Canada's Next Top Model Episode 9[edit]

The result of the debate was Speedy delete - CSD R1. Mike Peel 21:14, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link. After original prodding CNTM 9, I moved it to a better title so folks who wanted to comment on the prod wouldn't have to guess what "CNTM" stood for. --Jaysweet 20:26, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy Delete per CSD R1, redirect to a non-existent page. I've tagged the article. Resolute 20:32, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission‎United States[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 19:22, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the redirect creator's contribs, I think this is some sort of misguided anti-war protest Jaysweet 20:50, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Redirect to United Nations Special Commission. From the article's intro, the UNSCOM "...was a United Nations organization performing inspections in Iraq to ensure its compliance with the policies of the United Nations concerning Iraqi production and use of weapons of mass destruction after the Gulf War." If it makes sense pointing elsewhere, then in my opinion redirection is better than deletion even bearing in mind the creator's history. BigNate37(T) 21:25, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears to me that UNSCOM and the Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission are two distinct entities, that didn't even exist in overlapping time periods. I think... WMDC should probably have it's own article, but this redirect ain't it. --Jaysweet 21:30, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I hadn't realized it was a separate entity, I was under the assumption that it was a general term describing a commission that was related to WMDs. In that case, I've retracted my redirect vote and I'd suggest deletion in lieu of an article on the WMDC. BigNate37(T) 22:25, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete redirect, which makes no sense, but agree with the other commenters that it would be reasonable to have a full article on the WMDC. EdJohnston 20:17, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete to allow for new article creation. Phil Sandifer 17:50, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
