The result of the debate was speedy Deleted as db-redirtypo (CSD R3) --Ricksy 18:53, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recently created redirect is misspelled "basketbal" as opposed to its correct spelling "basketball". MadMax 07:17, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Next time, just apply {{db}} to such obvious cases. - crz crztalk 13:17, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Margaret FishbackFootprints (poem)[edit]

The nominated redirect was Deleted. -- JLaTondre 00:03, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Margaret Fishback, later Margaret Fishback Antolini, was a relatively well-published poet and prose author from the late 1920s until the 1960s and according to one source, the highest-paid female ad copywriter of the 1930s. She was published in the New Yorker, the New York Herald Tribune, and several well-known women's magazines. A large collection of her papers are held by Duke's Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising, and Marketing History. Since this is not the same person who may or may not have authored "Footprints" (Margaret Fishback Powers) this name should not be redirected to that article. • Delete per nom - besides anything else, she deserves her own article.--Holdenhurst 12:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely mispelling -WarthogDemon 18:33, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep: I mis-spelt it like that today, which is why I created the redirect. Surely there are more benefits to keeping it than deleting it? Yeanold Viskersenn 20:52, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak delete 772 google hits for this misspelling. Khatru2 22:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom: (a mere 96 English pages out of 769 at google versus 136-300+ million under good spelling - target is 3rd in page-rank) Removal benefits people by making them realise their mistaken spelling. Besides, it did not hinder the creator finding the article to link. In cases of difficulty, advice given at Wikipedia:Searching should be of some consolation. Ricksy 00:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Does not meet "frequent misspelling" speculation in Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion#When_should_we_delete_a_redirect item #2 (avoid deleting redirects list) as this redirect is a typo, not a misspelling due to lack of knowledge. Tvh2k 16:31, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, just a typo. -- Renesis (talk) 00:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, why would anyone hit an 's'? It's more than 2 letters away from 'r'. and there are 10,100 for "Chdristian and there is no redir from that. Just because you made a mispelling doesn't mean that others do. Valley2city 23:13, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Cannot be a common misspelling. Pavel Vozenilek 23:13, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, highly doubt this redirect will be commonly used.--TBCΦtalk? 03:27, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Cannot cater for every possible misspelling.--Holdenhurst 12:29, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
