Unproposed, single-member WikiProjects rarely stay maintained. Perhaps both can become task forces under Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland, but full projects (at least without multiple participants showing interest in them) are unnecessary. • Delete they should have never been created to begin with. Catfurball (talk) 20:03, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, I don't mind them being task forces though I don't really know how to change the template to a taskforce. Sahaib (talk) 20:08, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well... Template:WikiProject Glasgow is the easy one. You just redirect it to Template:WikiProject Scotland if you want to join that group, or set it up as a wrapper if you want it to send {{WikiProject Scotland |glasgow=yes}} automatically. The more complex bit is updating Template:WikiProject Scotland to recognize the task force. This isn't difficult, but you do have to specify several things (e.g., the names of the categories).
From the point of view of most editors, all of this means "Go to Wikipedia:Village pump (technical), post a link to this thread, and ask if anyone there would please do it for you", but if you don't find templates scary, then you should be able to emulate what's done for task forces in Template:WikiProject Medicine, which also has a bunch of (largely inactive) task forces.
The rest is pretty straightforward; it's just a matter of Wikipedia:Merging and Wikipedia:Moving pages.
But let me suggest that you don't try the task force approach. Instead, I suggest that you just take over WikiProject Scotland and see if you can WP:REVIVE the group. It's already quite small. If the first goal is to encourage a group project related to Glasgow, then that would just be a happy coincidence, right? ;-) WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:34, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete newly created abortive wikiproject with no evidence of actual coordinated activities being undertaken to improve articles. Since one editor is involved in this initiative to improve Glasgow articles, that one editor does not need a wikiproject to coordinate with himself.—Alalch E. 19:30, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
